It's a great place to sit at the bar and watch sports with a big selection of beer. They have a local on tap Chardonnay that I had was buttery yummy. Very busy and lively fun. But come on leave your little kids at home. Didn't seem like a place for little one's.

We were in Livermore early for a Saturday day of Soccer tournaments with a group of kids, The Ale House was right downtown and open early. They were fine to accomodate our last minute larger group. They have a nice patio and big tables in the back too. Nice sunny tables in the front right on the street. Easy to... More

Friendly local gastro pub. Ok food, onion rings very good. Tri tip sandwich needs more meat for the price. Good beer selection. Service a plus

We visit only every couple of years, but the Ale house is our go to each time. Great beer. Great food. Very, very accommodating to different food allergies. Atmosphere is fun. We love this place.

The beer is always good. Maybe a bit limited in rotating their beers. Fun and friendly staff. High energy ambience. I love going there but the food always disappoints. Sorry. Last night soggy toast, bacon and French fries.

This is my husband's favorite place to go. Nice friendly staff with large bar area. Huge selection of great beers, knowledgeable staff. We love the Swiss mushroom burgers. A Tootsie pop comes with every meal. Onion rings and garlic fries are delicious! Sports are always playing on their many indoor tvs. Outside seating available in front and back.

I really loved my burger here which I ordered with chili and proceeded to smother my burger with. Added some of their excellent BBQ sauce and enjoyed immensely! They have an incredible selection of brews on tap (Im sure you're not surprised to hear this given its name but it outdoes many similar places in quantity). Wines you will be... More

Good beer Good food but does get a little crowded, more of a younger crowd. There's a nice out door area to sit and have your favorite micro-brew.

great restaurant and pub with a very wide array of craft brews and domestic and international beers and pub fare. The portions of selection of food are ample and range anywhere from 13-25 dollars. Great atmosphere and cheerful place. Waitstaff was attentive and always kept our water glasses full. Food was brought out quickly and warm . It is located... More

The Ale house is right in the heart of downtown and always popular. They have pub like food such as burgers, sandwiches, fries, salads, oh and BEER! They have numerous beers on tap which they also cycle the local breweries beer through. This place is Always busy day or night!
