Nice treat to get to catch a quick lunch with friends. Solid Indonesian noodle and rice dishes. The place is shared with a grocery and the atmosphere isn't great, but it's clean, food is tasty and presentation is great.

There were 12 of us. I ordered at the cashier since I had to leave early. Others waited 1/2 hr for their food. I had the special Meatball noodles & shaved ice dessert. Food was good. There's valet parking.

This is one of my wife's favorite places to eat. Whenever we are in West Los Angeles, she is always willing to eat here. They have the items on their menu labeled as which are vegan, vegetarian or gluten free. The prices are extremely fair. The food is very flavorful and creative. I haven't had a bad thing here. The... I always eat here when I am in town. This whole in the wall restaurant is clean always crowded and absolutely has yummy food. You had better wear loose clothes when you dine there because you won't be able to stop eating. Plus the music is old school R&B....so if you are a fan of this music you may not... More

I came here and had the Nasi Rames, it came with curry chicken, tempe, rendang and some sauteed green beans. It was about $9, and I couldn't finish the whole thing. It is pretty good for the value because everything else in LA is very expensive. As far as authenticity, it is 3 our of 5. My husband is ordered... More

After our flight across the country we came here for Juice Durian and the next day came for more Durian Juice, Nasi Kuning, and siomay. The food and drink is just like being in Indonesia. Whenever we are in town we stop in.

I can't get enough of this place, and eat here every time I'm in town. Its inexpensive dining, and delicious. The roti paratha is absolutely delicious, and a surprise for me, it typically wouldn't be the first dish I would go for. The Festive Rice Nasi Kuning is one of my favorites because you get a little of everything (traditional... More

I do not know what secret ingredients this restaurant uses but every dish was competing with each other. We had a party of 6 so everything we ordered we ate family style. The roti with yummier than usual sauce, chicken satay, the best fried wonton ever, Gadu Gadu, and kroket with dipping sauce was a meal alone. We had fried... More

I don't get to eat Indonesian food in San Diego, so whenever we are in LA we stop at Simpang Asia. The beef rendang is DELICIOUS!!! But everything I have ordered here is good. If you order one of the Nasi dishes, you can try several different items. Service is not the fastest, but comes with a smile so works... More

I was there last night and we ordered Nasir Kuningan, Nasir Uduk, Kwetiau Goreng, Nai Mantap, Batagor and various of Drinks. We found the food was average if not terrible, only my wife likes her Nasir Mantap. I definitely will... More
