We had been hearing about this place from all our friends over the years, and had been looking for an opportunity to try it if we were ever in the area. So, this week, we finally stopped here as we found ourselves on Pico. And boy were we ever excited! For starters we ordered Chicken Matzo Soup and that was... More

This is one of my favorite delis in the world! My must have item to order is the Deli Dog that has pastrami on top of the hot dog. Super yummy and reasonably priced. It's a no frills kind of place but you go there for the food. Being kosher is a plus for some, but menu items are great... More

If you like pastrami and corned beef, keep reading the menu until you come across the sandwiches that feature grilled pastrami. It is a fantastic taste and texture compliment to a sandwich. I particularly like the Deli Delight which combines grilled pastrami with smoked turkey and Russian dressing. Eat it there while it is hot - don't take it home.... More

I have not eaten the other food here, but the knishes are the Platonic form of the dish (please excuse my mixing ethnicities). I highly recommend both the chicken and kasha knishes.

Love this place for the past 40 years. Best pastrami in town. Nice deli style seating inside. Very tasty food all around and good service.

The food here is consistently good. It is the best deli in LA. It is kosher so don;t expect any cheeses but you'll hardly miss it with the portions they serve. Into salad? Order the Cobb salad, ti can feed two people. Be sure to get the ranch dressing with it. The grilled pastrami sandwich is out of this world.

I love everything on the menu. Corned beef, pastrami, brisket, salads topped with grilled pastrami, soups, bread, pickles, getting fatter every day! Always fresh, never disappoints. Jacob & David know what they are doing.
