This Los Angeles establishment is a "must visit" ! The roast beef sandwich is excellent, the price is great. Make sure you try their mustard, it's so good. Parking is safe, free and plentiful.

What can you say about this place. It is as original as they come. Train display in one room, good old fashion dining room in the other and not much parking. Located across the street from Union Station, it is a throwback to good food,...More

We were so excited to try their sandwiches after seeing them on the Food Network. This sandwiches were awful and the place was filthy. I just wish we had not made such a long drive to try them. This was a huge fail..

Everyone should eat here once, the originator of the beef dip sandwich. The place is local history and the photos very interesting. The food however, is pretty average and i'm not a big eater but found the sandwiches on the small side. I do recommend...More

We all had the french dips because this restaurant is our friends favorite. The atmosphere was nice and a little funky. The food was very good. I am glad Roberta brought us to this location. We had photos taken in the booths.

A lot of history in this building, if the walls could talk! There are several lines that are formed that lead up to the deli display counter to place order.. Your order taker or carver takes your order, charges you, prepares all the food you...More

We ordered the beef and pastrami. Both good but I like the pastrami more. It has more flavor to it, and a little more salty than the beef. I can only compare it the pastrami of Langer's. I think I like The Original Philippe's pastrami...More

Great institution! Parking on-site is a major plus. Sandwiches are delicious. Don’t be afraid to order them wet. Potato salad and coleslaw are yummy! And price is great!

A party of five friends went for lunch around 2:00 pm on MLK Holiday. The lines were long and the service was excruciatingly slow. I wanted to leave but was told by friends who are locals that the wait would be worth it. Not so....More

This is not really a place where you would go for "healthy choices". It's a" sawdust on the floor" kind of place.
