Spent the afternoon in Chinatown and decided to give Yang Chow a try. The service was fast and the food was very good. Visited the restroom and it was very clean. Had the shrimp with lobster sauce lunch special which is served with fried rice, egg drop soup and 2 wontons. Also had the Szechuan chicken with steamed rice, the... More

A local friend took us to this restaurant. As others have noted, the slippery shrimp is one of the most delicious things I have had at a Chinese restaurant! The Yang Chow lamb was also fabulous. And the three flavor sizzling rice soup delicious. Our waiter was a bit surely but the other service staff were excellent and the manager... More

You never know who you will meet while eating at Yang Chow. The walls are covered with photos of sport movie and political celebrities! I wandered into this china town spot on a Sunday late afternoon. It was already busy but gets packed at dinner! I sampled the shrimp in lobster sauce as well as curry chicken dishes which were... Our friend who is local recommended this restaurant and we were not disappointed. They're slippery shrimp was amazing and there are hot tea was just what I needed today. Established in 1977 they've been a local favorite for many celebrities and government workers in the area. We will definitely be back.

I love Chinese food and haven't had it for a long time. This restaurant has me wanting more. The soups and dinners are all wonderful. This restaurant is in Korea town and a good place to have something to eat after walking and shopping. A fun place with great food.

Almost everything we've ever had at Yang Chow's from Pork Fried Rice to Moo Shu Pork. Service always excellent in a typical Asian Restaurant setting. Located in "China Town" off the beaten track. A little hard to find with a small parking lot in the rear that's attended for peak hours. Don't be afraid to order it's all really special!

Chinatown in LA at night is not an area I felt particularly comfortable with which I guessed from the surprised reaction from our Uber driver en route there. Having said that we were fine. Yang Chow is nothing to write home about from the outside, these are sometimes the best places and definitely so in this case. Excellent service and... More

This is my second visit to Yang Chow. I have a passion for Chinese food and have been to many Chinese restaurants around Los Angeles. Yang Chow is hands down the best! It's a truly an authentic Chinese restaurant, it's located in the heart of Chinatown with many nearby DTLA attractions. The consistency in their service and food is perfect... More

One of the famous restaurants in chinatown, LA. Recommended by locals, we have enjoyed the food - fresh, tasty, large portions. Visited by many celebs/stars- lots of pictures on the walls. Great value for money.
