I love this small Japanese restaurant. The variety of the menu is amazing. The service is good. Reservation is a must.

I think we ordered one of everything on the menu! The quality of fish at Izaka-ya is top notch. Pair it with a sake flight for the perfect combination. You're going to wish you had a bigger table when everything comes. I would definitely return to Izaka-ya on my next trip to LA

Big lunch crowd drew us to this izakaya style restaurant. Was satisfied with some of menu items which proved to be "different". This is a modern izakaya, not the traditional izakaya, with some influence, I dare say, other than Japanese. Overall, interesting, different, and tasty.

You have to make a reservation and keep to the given time ! This restaurant is so popular that our 6 pm seating was completely full ! The service was excellent , as was the sushi and our children were delighted with the desserts !

Try seafood tajine! It went perfectly well with sake. And better to get reservation because this place is busy all the time.

This place is usually busy. It has good food, good service and isn't expensive. It isn't fancy, however, you know what you are getting and it is consistent.

As a midwesterner, I always try and get sushi when I'm on the west coast. This one ranks with the 2-3 best I've had. Expensive, and crowded, but they do have a fabulous "first ten customers" special at lunch where there are 17 items for ~ $11.

We stumbled across this place whilst out walking - not something you do too much in LA! It looked good from the outside and we were hungry there and then. We took a chance and I'm glad we did. The food was excellent. The staff were good too and the chef's were all Japanese. Lot's of locals - always a... More

A great food experience is the right mix of location, food and management. There is nothing that I hate more than deciding not to visit anymore a restaurant with great food because of poor management. Unfortunately that was the case of Izaka-ya of katsuya. During last year too many times happened that I decided to pass on some behaviors of... More
