Truly enjoyable restaurant and unbelievable menu. The portions are large and those garlic bread rolls don't stop appearing on your table. Tasty food and great bar. The waitstaff are pleasant and make your dining experience personal, tasty and really enjoyable. Thank you!

We stayed overnight at Marina d'El Rey and we found this Italian Trattoria near Venice pier. The restaurant was full and the environment was a mix of families and groups of friends. They have a great selection of pastas with fresh mozzarella and bread being served as a teaser. Great choice for Venice beach for a family dinner

It starts with the garlic knots, add on lots of singing and great food. During the night, wait staff brings around lyrics to songs for you to join in and sing. Note, drink wine beforehand it helps! The garlic knots are amazing and seems like you just want to keep eating them. We ate so many garlic knots we shared... More

Loved the feel of the place and of course the bread knots that we ate too many of. The dinner itself was good as well. Knocked off 1 star for the red sauce.

We went here for a casual dinner on the recommendation of our hotel, and weren't disappointed. The garlic bread comes out at the start, and just keeps coming (we were warned by the waiter not to get caught out eating too many!) The pasta was great, we loved how our waiter Clayton recommended his favourites. We didn't make it to... More

Maybe the best Italian I have ever had! The staff was SO nice. We had multiple people checking on us, they all wanted us to have the best service, and the atmosphere was beautiful! The food was to die for! This is a MUST stop! Someone referred us, and they were spot on!

Great italian food, large portions, reasonably priced - need I say more? The ONLY reservation I had was that they presented a large bottle of house Chianti on the table, saying that there was an "honor system" in that we would only be charged for what we drank. I did not ask the price, but figured that a no-name Chianti... More

C&O Trattoria (C&O) has been open since 1969. Now a well known Venice Beach landmark, serving Northern Italian breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. It has become known for good food and friendly service in a relaxed garden setting. On May 1, 1993, C & O Trattoria officially opened a Northern Italian concept, unlike any other in Los Angeles, serving gargantuan portions of high quality Northern Italian pastas at unbelievably low prices. Add our "Killer Garlic Rolls," nightly sing along, honor wine bar, and friendly team service and you have the C & O Trattoria, one of LA's premier Northern Italian eateries.

Staying in Venice

Neighbourhood Profile
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
