A friend that lives in Napa recommended this place when we told her we were driving to the coast. It was pretty good food and totally worth the trip, for the views alone. Although I was not blown away by the Oysters (I got the Oyster platter... I wouldn't recommend it, but if you want to taste a few, I... More
We drove north of San Francisco to enjoy the superb oysters at the oyster farms located at Tomales Bay. Unfortunately they had been closed that day so the only way to get some oysters was to visit a restaurant. Unfortunately we selected 'Nick's Cove'. The place looks nice, the interior is rustic. We got a table by the window overlooking... More
My wife and I stop here frequently on drives up Highway 1 - and have never been disappointed. The food is consistently fresh and well prepared, the service friendly and fast and the decor warm and inviting. After lunch, the a moment to enjoy the view from the small pier next door.
Ten of us had lunch at Nick's Cove and we were seated facing Tomales Bay. The food was very good, ranging from Crabs Benedict, Huevos Rancheros, Clam Chowder, Macaroni and Cheese, and oysters with barbecue sauce. The service was excellent and the food was very good. We will come back in the future.
Raw oysters, cooked oysters, clam chowder, prawn Louis salad... oh my... how delicious! We also tried two sides: roasted cauliflower and Brussels sprouts, both were prepared in an incredible manner. In lieu of dessert, we ordered a seared halibut which melted in our mouths and was so amazing - we ordered dessert: can't remember but it was something with pumpkin... More

I gave him my chop as we waited. It finally came out! In the end, they said it was thicker than mine. No adjustment... More
While a bit off the beaten (wine country) path, a trip to Nick's is worth it -- whether for a meal, a cocktail at the bar, or a weekend getaway. Food is excellent and well-prepared, and if you get the right waitperson, service is classic (our server appeared a bit green). A good menu selection ranging in shared plates, delicious... More
I have eaten at Nick's a few times, but the last visit I was quite disappointed with the dinner menu choices. They used to have a delicious oyster po' boy which is no longer available, even on the lunch menu. The dinner menu is formal with no roadside diner choices, such as fish and chips or a gourmet burger or... More
