I have been going to the Resort for 30 years. You get an honest, quality meal. Serve traditional American meals--hamburgers, some dinner meals, shakes, fries. Informal, clean, nice staff, in business for 30+ years. The owners are very helpful and nice. They can answer questions about nearby attractions, etc. Beautiful meadow out back on their deck where you can also... More

Clearly, this is just a good little country spot. Nothing fancy in the decor or on the menu. We have a vacation home a few miles away, and truly like the place for things like a burger and a milkshake (which are very good). Very friendly folks, and for the type of place it is, it is just great! We... More

Stayed in Mill Creek Resort, We Had late lunched for couple of days and we went for Dinner one night. We stayed on weekdays too. Kitchen closes early on weekdays. Food is good, service is good, what I liked is they try to conserve water as much as they can.

If you are not camping or cabin camping in the park, the choices of places to stay near the park are limited and expensive compared to other areas in California. There are two main entrances to the main park road, one to the North and one in the South, plus there is another area of the park to explore in... More

This place is off the main road - which we appreciated. Nice to have a quiet place in the woods to relax after a hard day of hiking. However, it's still only about 20 minutes to Lassen, and close to Lake Almanor as well. The general store/restaurant is adorable. The cabins are quite rustic. Definitely no frills. But if you... We have both breakfast and dinner there since we were staying at one of their cabins. The milkshakes were great. So was the bacon at breakfast. Everything else was so so, but super inexpensive.

Sitting on the deck and watching all of the hummingbirds was thrilling. The food was ok but I would go back for the hummingbird experience.

If you like cabins, you'll be happy here - and real close to Lassen Park (unlike the Chester hotels). No TV, which is fine by us. They serve breakfast and lunch, food nothing special but great service.

Nothing can beat sitting out on the deck at Mill Creek Resort enjoying lunch (or breakfast or dinner). The surrounding beauty, the amazing milkshakes (not to be missed), friendly service and great selection of food items. In the summer, the deck is abound with hummingbirds. The sun is perfect, mountains amazing and there is a play area for kids. Definitely... More
