My wife and I ate there on Valentine's Day. The clam chowder was good. the calamari Appetizer was good. We like the tentacles but we're not on this dish. My wife had the Sand Dab's( a little jewel of the sea) with pasta. The fish was bland and the pasta was watery. I had the scallops with the mushroom cream... More

We always have to have a meal at the Sandbar & Grill. They have the best Calamari! I also love the margaritas! The staff is so friendly!

This gem is truly local or if you have spoken with a local. Unassuming, small, invisible. You literally have to walk down stairs on the side of the Old Fisherman's Wharf to find it. Ring the captain's bell to announce your arrival and hopefully, the wait will not be too long! It is a quaint, small local favorite where you... More

Took us a little while to find the establishment and took the steps down to the restaurant. Plenty of parking on the pier but remember to pay for parking our you will get a little surprise upon your return. The service was lacklustre to say the least. The wait team were more interested in chatting amongst themselves. The food was... More

We stopped in in our way to Monterey for a drink and snack- it must have been 10 minutes before the grumpy bartender Mike even acknowledged our existence- we thought we were invisible because his assistant, also grumpy Tiffany ignored us as well The whole experience was unpleasant from start to finish. I know it's a tourist place and you... More

Tucked away down some stairs beside the pier a wonderful dining experience awaits. We were in Pacific Grove for a getaway and each of us chose a different restaurant for each night. Sandbar and Grill was a perfect choice. My wife had a shell fish entree and I had the best halibut I've had outside Alaska. It was stuffed with... More

This restaurant is nestled along the pier (below deck) so it can be hard to find. However it is worth it. Very good food and service. I ordered the salmon and the wife ordered sand-dabs; both great. She especially loved her ceaser salad. Can't wait to go back.

This has become our go-to place for dinner. It is hidden below wharf level down where all the boats are. A nice little bar and dining room with excellent sea-food dishes and cocktails.

If you want a huge bowl of delicious clam chowder with huge chunks of potato - you have to go to the Sandbar & Grill. I will stop here on my way into town from now on! Don't go to the touristy wharf - go to wharf one - sit on the water and dig in!!!
