Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

as a chef I would say it was the worst and most expensive whatever you want to call I have ever had, the potatoes were fresh cut and dumped in the fryer for not long enough to even make them change color the bacon was...way over cooked the eggs were under cooked and runny, then they charged me 3.00 more for two pieces of bread not toasted because it doesn't come with the ........... come on 1.50 for a piece of bread. my wife had this folded piece of rubber with un cooked stuff in the middle they called an omelet, i could half ways understand if they were busy but we were the only ones there, I was tempted to go back and say something to whomever was pretending to cook back there but like the coffee i don't think it was strong enough to defend it self and not worth the time the total was 50.00 bucks I would not of given it a star if I didn't have to for the reviewMore

I had a terrible experience at Lilys I decided to give this place a try, but I was met with utter disappointment right from the start. I walked in, and there were only a few tables occupied, but they refused to seat me and my...girlfriend because we didn’t have a reservation. Seriously? There were plenty of empty tables, and the waiter said they couldn’t keep their employees working until later. It was only 6:50pm and the restaurant hours of business is from 16-20 so I don’t get it at all. The staff was incredibly rude and dismissive, showing no empathy whatsoever. I understand that reservations are essential for busy nights, but when the restaurant clearly has ample seating available, their attitude was uncalled for. I left feeling embarrassed and disrespected. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and find a restaurant that actually cares about its customers and treats them with respect, regardless of whether they have a reservation or not. Avoid Lilys at all costs!More

Lovely place to meet for very tasty food and drinks. Great selection, reasonably priced. I would've liked to find more zucchini in my zucchini fritters though.

Incredibly mediocre food. Terrible Benedict, soggy and insipid grits, overall food seemed low quality. Coffee was GREAT…but we won’t be back.

This restaurant is such a hidden gem. Lovely ambiance, friendly staff, amazing food, all with reasonable price. We loved it so much that we kept coming back for breakfast and dinner during our stay in Mount Shasta. You do need to make reservation, especially for...weekend brunch.More

The chicken pasta tasted canned. Worst meal I have ever had in a restaurant in past 30 years, yet cost over $30! Breakfasts are OK though.

We had a lovely evening at Lily's sitting and dining al fresco under a grand old oak tree and enjoying a delicious meal. The trout was excellent and I highly recommend it. The other entree was enormous....rack of ribs and was good as well. The...staff was attentive and friendly. We would definitely return when passing through again.More

We just had a large family dinner here with 43 people. It could not have been more perfect. The food was all fresh, creative, delicious and beautiful! The serving staff took great care of all our guests. They went out of the way to make...special diet food for some guests. We had a fun gathering in front of the restaurant before dinner. There we were served sushi and charcuterie. I could not believe how incredible it all was! The only downside was getting a firm date down on the calendar. John H and his wife are very busy folks and Mount Shasta doesn’t truly wake up from winter until Memorial Day weekend! I forgot to mention the amazing Mango layer cake that he made! Wowzer!More

Disappointing. Food was ok. The vibe, though, felt unwelcoming. The music might have worked in a 1950's country club. Something here is not fitting Mt Shasta

Stopped in for breakfast before leaving town. Ups: spaced out tables, delicious food, fresh ingredients. Downs: slow overall (one Gal handling all tables / hostess duties).

Had breakfast here. Cozy little restaurant with good breakfast menu. Rarely see cheesy grits on a menu in this part of the country. They were delicious. My wife had oatmeal and it was a huge portion with all the trimmings. Great hearty breakfast before going...out to explore the Mt. Baker area.More

Was looking forward to breakfast here. Turned out to be a negative experience. Paid $37.00 before tip for 2 smallish breakfasts and 2 cups of coffee. The food was acceptable but the coffee was terrible. Tasted like yesterday's leftover pot warmed up. The worst thing...was about the visit was the grumpy blond waitress. She acted like we were putting her out and everything was a hardship.More
