My wife and I began our multi-day visit to the Napa Valley with lunch at the Norman Rose Tavern, accompanied, of course, by a fine Napa Valley wine! We both thoroughly enjoyed the Pan Roasted Cod Sandwich served with arugula and caper mayonnaise. The service...More

Great Lamb Burger and Disco Fries! The bartender had a little trouble with our drinks, but they made up for it. Slow service, but when the food finally arrived it was very good.

Ate here across from Andaz and it was a reasonable choice with some creative flair without being pretentious. I had a salmon BLT which was tasty and my wife had an arugula salad with chicken which she enjoyed as well. The kids had a grilled...More

The beer-battered fish & chips here are excellent. We added truffle fries instead of the regular fries, with an up charge, which were also good. This is a lively, fun place for a casual meal. Can't recommend the shrimp cakes, but everything else we tried...More

We were staying at the Andaz and this was right across the street. After a few days of wine tasting, we needed something else to drink, so we stopped here. Very nice bar area with a good selection of beers on tap, but we ended...More

If you love truffles, stay away from this place. It is like crack cocaine. SO GOOD!! Truffle/parmesan cheese fries. You will want to come back again and again. The rest of the menu is also quite delicious. Great place to hang out in downtown Napa....More

Ventured across the street from the Andaz. Wife & I sat at the bar and each enjoyed an amazing burger. Fantastic! & Pliney bottles available. Rare find in LA. Topped it off :)

evening dining for four on a Friday, quite busy, a bit noisy. Very pleasant service, food came in decent time, no complaints, but ..... just basic food, no better , no worse than many othe places.

We would echo the positive comments already posted about Norman Rose. Nice, modern and beautifully appointed with a fairly expansive menu. Although they had great wines, we needed a change of pace and selected from their large craft beer menu. The buttermilk fried chicken sandwich...More

This was recommended to us and we gave it a shot. The food was great! A menu with different choices. The place is clean and centrally located. If you are in Napa, stop on in.

Description
Located in the heart of downtown Napa's West End District, the Norman Rose Tavern is that comfortable spot where you can meet family and friends for a nice cocktail, pint or glass of wine paired with a great burger and fries or other classic, American comfort food. The menu takes a local, sustainable approach to time-honored dishes like fish & chips, fried chicken, chop salad, mac and cheese, and much more, all prepared utilizing the fresh, seasonal and quality ingredients found in the North Bay. The design offers a rustic pub feel with modern touches created by Kimberly Nunn and Dan Worden of Shopworks in Napa. The thoughtful beverage list sports a collection of cocktails, wines and beers that soar two or three levels above most, with many outstanding and well priced Napa Valley wines. The by-the-glass list is impressive as well with over twenty wines by the glass. An extensive spirits list featuring classic cocktails round out the offerings.
