All the classics you expect from a diner. Food and portions are average. Service is good. Atmosphere is relaxed, family. Great place to eat and visit with friends. There is something for everyone and they'll let you sit and chat awhile without rushing you.

I don't go to Black Bear Diner often, but when I do the food is always consistently good. My wife and I were out on a mid-morning weekday, and on a whim decided to stop in for a late breakfast. The food was good, the portions huge, and the servers are always smiling. Even though Black Bear Diner is a... More

Late lunch so this was a quick stop in. We were served by Amy; very nice young lady who had great recommendations from their very expansive menu. The menu is in the form of a daily paper-ours was dated 1957 and had headlines from that date in history! Too cute Very clean and cute inside. We decided upon the Open... More

Chain restaurant. Good ole American breakfast fare. What you would expect from a well operated chain restaurant.

We needed a good quick breakfast and we were just driving by and decided to stop here. Eggs were perfect but hash browns were a bit bland...definitely needed ketchup.

I've been to several Black Bear Diners and all are good. They have the option of "lesser" portions which are still huge Great prices. I had the pot roast dinner with real mashed potAtoes and flavorful gravy Service is fast.

You always had to wait in line after Church for this Great Breakfast Diner. They make the Best California Egg Benedict...has avocados, tomatoes,...and their American Country Potatoes .

Good family dining. Tried ribs with green beans and salid. Barbique sauce was good but ribs disappointing. Salid and beans were good. Reasonably priced diner with good service.

We ate at the Black Bear Diner two times during our recent stay in Napa. My dad, who lives in Napa, recommended it as a very good place to eat while not spending a bunch of money. The diner sports yummy home-town breakfast, lunch and dinner fares and all are reasonbly priced. The staff are friendly, upbeat and are customer... More
