Old style decor with red covered booths. Good food with excellent service. If you go on a Friday or Saturday plan on spending the evening as they have great live entertainment for any age. Very entertaining. We stayed until the music stopped. Lots of oldies but goodies.

Service is on point. Love their prime rib special. Restrooms are clean. Great atmosphere & they have live music. This place is one of the oldest steak house in San Diego, feels like the Untouchables movie could've been filmed here.

Really nice restaurant with a large selection of choices. The manager recommended the rib eye steak and it was superb. Great service and a place worth returning to.

Bad- live bug in my salad, prime rib carved against the grain or something... we could hardly carve it with steak knife and it tasted more like steak. Good- our waitress was horrified by the bug- offered me another salad (I declined), bowl of soup? I said "no". She brought my husband a glass of wine on the house (He... More

This little gem in national city is one of the best and somewhat undiscovered restaurants. Excellent steakhouse restaurant with very good drinks and perfect for a little old school romantic night out. Everything is good. Even the bread.

Was recommended here by the hotel concierge as somewhere "local" and that did not disappoint. The ambiance took you right back to the the 30s and 40s with the red half circle booths and jazz music. The food was Ok and the service was acceptable. Nothing spectacular, but better than going to a chain!

Prices were reasonable. Was not impressed with the food or service. Waitress came by and asked if we needed more water but my sons Dr Pepper was empty and did not offer to refill it. She walked away and we had to ask someone else for a refill. Dr Pepper no ice and got a Dr Pepper full glass of... More

Vacationing in the area and the hotel manager recommended Cafe la Maze for dinner. The prime rib was excellent and my husband's crab legs were delicious. An awesome atmosphere and classic looking with old movie star pics on the the walls. Parking can be a challenge, but worth it once you get in.
