Very nice place. I only have positive comments. Seems like a locals place. Right near other restaurants and shops so parking can be a challenge and probably a nightmare when full of tourists. My friend had a scramble and I opted for traditional 2-egg breakfast. I particularly enjoyed the Louisiana Hot sausage with its kick. Server was excellent. Definitely going... More

Food was yummy, service was just right in the middle, price was pretty much what you would expect from a breakfast place and ambiance were both good for young and old alike.

South Pine Cafe is just the thing for the slightly adventurous breakfast or lunch. The lines outside the cafe around noon on Saturday had us really worried about the wait, but in fact the wait wasn't more than 5-7 minutes. It's definitely worth the wait. The food was delicious. We recommend trying something a little bit off the beaten track;... More

Good breakfast place, but I have come in there a few times and your potatoes are a bit undercooked. .

As a vegetarian I'm always searching for an authentic homemade veggie burger. I found one here and it was the most delicious veggie burger I've ever tasted. It was messy but tables come with lots of napkins and wonderful homemade catsup! My husband (meat-eater) ordered the chorizo benedict served with home fries. He also ordered a side pancake which was... More

We spent two nights in Nevada City and went to the cafe for both mornings for the tastiest breakfast in town!

We come here for breakfast more often than lunch. Try a Blackstone Benedict or Biscuits and Gravy. I like the corn cakes too. Friendly service. There might be a wait on weekends or peak hours, sign in with your name and party if so. This is a good spot for kids. There's wifi too and they even have some adult... More

Cute and clean with good service. Try the homemade habanero sauce and ketchup -nice touch. The south pine sampler was good and offered choices I hadn't had before. Don't get up early as they don't open before 8 am which we thought was weird for a breakfast place.
