My wife and I enjoyed dinner here last night. I ordered the spaetzle with crab, arugula, and cheese (not the most German sounding dish). It was very tasty but watch out for the large amount of garlic which was not even mentioned among the ingredients. My wife really liked her schnitzel with spaetzle, red cabbage, and sauerkraut. Of course we... More

The memory we'll take away from our experience is the hostess who said to an elderly woman next to us pointing out her undercooked sausage, "I'm sorry but I'm too busy now." (It took multiple people visiting the table before they'd admit undercooking the meat.) We decided to just 'risk' apps. The oysters were gritty with shell chips and the... More

I ordered the Crab Benedict from the brunch menu...the English muffin was doughy, the crab sparse and fatigued, and the Hollandaise flavorless. Tried to fill up with the onion rings but they were too greasy for me. Maybe I ordered the wrong items, or it was an off day.

Love German food, casual country side and tasty, this is your place. It hard for me to pass German food and this place is cozy. The spatzle w cheese is genius, beers are great and you can sit overlooking the water. Don't come for a quiet romantic dinner. Do come for good food and a bar crowd

Been to Brotzeit three times over the past 18 months. The beers and drink are delicious and the food is good (albeit a bit pricey...$12 for an a'la carte sausage on a bun?) when you finally get them. So why the three strikes? The first visit the food was okay but unmemorable. The issue the second and third visits has... More

Nice German meal in casual atmosphere with reasonable price. We had the Schnitzel Plate and were all happy with the food and the service.

This is such a convenient restaurant to the Homewood Suites hotel that I eat here at least once during every trip I take to Oakland. I have never been disappointed in the food or the service. I've had many of the dishes and by far my favorites are the Fish and Chips (excellent crispy batter coating, moist and flaky big... More

Really enjoyed our lunch here. We had the sausage platter with 2 sausages, a nice sauerkraut and spazel and a soft pretzel. The beer we had was good and they have a nice selection. The location is great but a little hard to find and the parking lot is small. It is right on the water and would be fabulous... More

Came here for brunch. We had the sausage platter and the house made sausages were good, especially the wild game sausage and the merguez. It came with sauteed cabbage and spatzle which were cold. We also ordered the schnitzel stack which was just okay. It looked so appetizing when it arrived but the schnitzel itself was dry and the potatoes... More
