I saw an old diner while driving and had to stop in and give it a try. A quick Trip Advisor check and it was worth the chance. Glad I did, December is an off month in Oceanside so the diner was empty. Great atmosphere straight out of roadside California 1920's style. My waitress was friendly and conversant. Right away... This place was great, we had breakfast there. The place is loaded with locals from every walk, and tourists from every where. Food portions are good, prices are great. This will remain our 1st choice breakfast stop.

I do not know what happened here.I was happy that they started taking credit cards and have new, longer hours. But,the service was so poor,I will never go back. How do you scew up an oder, for a Tuna Melt, three times, and never apologize. When I finally got the tuna it was dried and inedible.Bad bad bad.

We only stopped here to have a soda and buy a Highway 101 sign as a souvenir. The waitress said they were out of the signs, that more were ordered and should be in within a couple of weeks. We told here we were just visiting there for the week. She offered to call her brother, the owner, to see... More

You just don't find places like this - they're disappearing fast. Very clean, very kitschy - neat ambiance that took decades to build, and, a surprisingly varied menu with some neat twists on diner fare. We'll drop in again when in the area.

The place looked super cute, and the service was really fast when we first got in, but after we ordered it took a long time to actually get our food. At least 45 min. Once we got our food it was delicious, although I can't attest as to whether it was delicious because we were so hungry or not hahaha.

We came for breakfast and had the chicken fried steak and gravy and eggs and coffee cake and hashbrowns and the corned beef hash with home fries, biscuits, eggs and half a peach. EVERYTHING was perfectly cooked. The eggs had stunning flavourful! The table next to us raved the tuna was the best they had EVER had. And they added... More

This place is right on the corner and is so cute. We were so excited to try it and were very disappointed. To be fair, I would like to return and try lunch to see if it is better than breakfast. The gravy is VERY garlicky. I ordered SOS and the bread was so tough, I literally had to use... More
