One of the best spots in Ojai to eat. Tapas and drinks. Excellent service , wonderful ambience, food and cocktails. Be sure to make reservations especially on weekends!

Absolutely wonderful food, wine and service! Enjoyed every single thing we ordered, the shrimp was fantastic! Excellent wine selection, and the perfect dishes to share with a few friends. Great bar, and fun atmosphere. The perfect place to enjoy a fabulous dinner after a relaxing day in Ojai. Will certainly be back during my next trip!

We did a spontaneous road trip to Ojai and stumbled upon Azu. Great tapas, excellent service and fun atmosphere and setting. Their Buffalo seasoned cauliflower was unique and delicious!

After a long hike, we stopped in for some lunch. The service was attentive but not obsequious, in other words: friendly just like this town. I had a salad and my husband had the chicken pita. We're staying in Ventura but will probably return some evening for the tapas and paella and of course to sample the beer and wine!... More

This is a favorite spot for locals and tourists alike. I's a lovely space, hip, cosy and imaginative. It began as Spanish tapas but has branched out to include other ethnic choices in their tapas. The bar is great fun to sit at and catch up with friends, get a drink or tapas to act as dinner--or get a dinner.... More

The first three courses were very good – appetizer, soup and salad . Service was attentive, wine was very good. But The main dish ,chicken shish kebab was very dry and Unexciting. The restaurant is exceptionally noisy when it's busy. This really distracted from our ability to have an intimate romantic dinner

The front of the restaurant is a brewery room with a great bar to sit at. They have a lovely dining area behind the bar where they serve amazing dishes. The bar area serves appetizers and a few meals that are really yummy. We will return to this restaurant!

Very friendly atmosphere, quiet and peaceful even for a Friday evening. Limited but interesting menu.

Cozy atmosphere (warm bar, fireplace in one of the rooms), attentive service, very good food, and great wine choices make this our favorite restaurant in Ojai. The menu is tapas-style and meant to be shared. Among the many things we love are: fried curried cauliflower, jamon & Manchego, and clams with chorizo. This is the kind of place you want... More

A party of five, we were tucked away in the empty back room. Our waiter clearly did not want to be there, or be a server, and in a really bad mood. The paella was salty and cold, the wine was warm and one dessert took 20 minutes to arrive. We all went home feeling a bit depressed.

Description
We at Azu believe the best dishes are made from fresh ingredients. We look to the local farmers that we know grow quality organic and natural produce, that help give our menu that special California twist. Our bar menu is filled with craft cocktails with juices squeezed right from Ojai's citrus orchards where are bartenders hand pick fruit to help make the perfect mimosa, martini's, and Richies famous Bloody Mary. We love supporting our California wineries, breweries, farmers, and hormone free companies.

We buy locally and organically whenever possible and strive to add a California twist to our Spanish inspired menu. For over 10 years, Owner and Chef Laurel Moore has taken this inspiration and has created a ambiance and menu that has the feel of a mediterranean retreat, authentic destination, and local Ojai escape.

We strive to provide the tastiest and freshest ingredients while preparing our dishes with the pure natural flavor of farm driven produce and flavors. We offer organic, vegan, Paleo, gluten free, vegetarian, and other dietary restricted options as well as healthy nutritional options for kids. Our dishes are designed to meet the needs of Everyone who walks through our historic doors. We cater to couples nights out, large parties and receptions, wedding events, Happy Hour connoisseurs, anniversary celebrations, outdoor dining, Tapas tastings, wine tastings, beer samplings, corporate events, and have a wide variety of Tapas and Celebration menus to choose from.

Whether you are looking to escape from the hustle bustle of the city or are an Ojai local in need of a special night out. Our destination style atmosphere and farm fresh California Tapas, fresh juice cocktails, and local wine and beer, is the perfect place to find sanctuary within a culinary inspired establishment.
