After years of our daughter raving about this place, but us being too lazy to leave our hotel in time to get breakfast, we finally tried it. It is indeed worth the half hour wait for a table. Excellent eggs and pancakes, the friendliest owners and service ever, and a good old fashioned Mayberry vibe.

We have walked past this establishment so many times but this time we decided to give it a try. We kick ourselves now for not walking thru those doors sooner. Great place. You will not be disappointed at all.

I'd love to give Bonnie Lu's a 5 rating. I really would. It's a charming, old-school diner that serves up tasty, old-school breakfast food. But when the waitress brings you the wrong side of sausage (links instead of patties), takes the plate back and returns without ANY sausage but promises it will come out soon, then forgets about it until... We had a Thursday lunch here in downtown Ojai. We were greeted and seated promptly at a nice table. Bonnie Lu's has both booths and tables with pink tops and blue leather upholstery. They also have a luncheon counter. It's a 50s type of place. Our water arrived promptly and the server took our order. My wife ordered the Monte... More

We stopped for lunch and were lucky to get a table. Down to earth food and prices located on the Main Street. Breakfast all day if wanted. The Monte Christo sandwich was cooked a little different than I'm use to(not dipped in batter)but still good. Happy staff and great service. Definitely great for breakfast with hungry children I'm sure.

They have one of the best Rueben sandwiches ever and this is a place where locals actually eat. Great breakfast and in the Arcade, so you can wander and shop after you eat!

Very popular local place. Came in for breakfast and had to wait 20 minutes, but they provide complimentary coffee as you wait. Place is your typical diner/cafe; no frills. Came in due to recommendations. Had the country fried steak with eggs, country potatoes, and biscuit. My friend had the Eggs Benedict. Also had mimosas which were great at $4 a... More

The wait was long, but worth it! Food was delish and loved the atmosphere - great music and lively staff.
