Pete's Hideaway was the first place we ate at in Palm Springs and we will not go back. The food was not very tasty - ordered the popcorn shrimp basket and it wasn't popcorn shrimp - it was larger pieces of shrimp cut up. The french fries were soggy. The menu said it would be served with cocktail sauce and... More

The only fish entry was sole. It was greasy and soggy. Baked potatoes and veggies were room temperature. The salad looked like it was made at Taco Bell. Shredded iceberg lettuce with chopped tomatoes...nothing else, not even side of bread. They did not offer any daily specials. There was a noisy crowd of older white couples at the bar. The... More

Pete's is a little ways off the beaten path but it's worth the drive. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the parking is good. The inside atmosphere takes you back to old Palm Springs. Full bar with a nice selection of beers. The real surprise is the food...we had the beef sliders and the calamari....both were great.... More

I lived in Rancho Mirage for 7 years, 5 years ago. We've been traveling the world for 5 years & are back for the winter season in Palm Springs. I know the town; I know the people and it's such a fabulous place to visit. I met friends at the Purple Room, but that's not this review, and then at... More

Provided a Lunch-Dinner menu, was hoping for breakfast. Met a friend there once before and breakfast looked amazing. Went there on mid morning and they were closed so this time was really excited to try a new place. I asked the server if I could order an omelette, she said she would ask the chef. Decided to keep it simple... More

Local bar, friendly people. Live entertainment on certain nights.. Fun atmosphere. Did not have dinner, but the food looked great!

Odd combination, but they pour a great martini, and the green beans simply must be tried. Good food for the price point.

We ate lunch at Pete's. We had a burger and quesadilla. Food was good, if unremarkable. It appears they have added a private room in the back for live music which is promising. Tap beer selection is very limited which was disappointing.

We so enjoyed the live music with vocalist Siobhan (sp?). She has an awesome voice and range and we loved her songbook. The staff were wonderful and friendly and made awesome drinks. It's family owned and operated and they really care for you to have a good time.

Pete's Hideaway is just down the road from The New York Bar and Grill. It is a another friendly bar and grill where everyone is personable, and they make everyone feel at home! I really miss The New York Company's Face Book website which was very personable and warm and inviting with lot's of photos and a huge fan base.... More
