This is one of those restaurants where the cool vibe is matched by great food. My grilled Scottish salmon was delicious. Truly good. My three friends all loved their meals, fried chicken with collard greens and Thai chicken, all great. Loved the whole scene and people watching. But in the end it was about the food!!

When you eat here, it's easy to wonder if the 'Rat Pack' might be walking in at any minute. This is a lively fun reastaurant with a magical outside eating area, a great bar with very good bartenders and great wait staff. The food is all wonderful. It surprises me that they don't have Frank, Sammy or Dean singing in... More

There are so many good restaurants in the Palm Springs area that it's hard to stand out from the rest. Tropicale achieves this with their menu. The main menu has an assortment of delicious items, but they also have a "weekly" menu on the front of their menus that changes completely every week. Four of us went to dinner and... More

This place was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. It was extremely crowded when we arrived (we had traveled from Washington to try this place) for happy hour and there were no tables. The hostess found a table for 6 and we were able to enjoy tasty appetizers and drinks. PS...it was chilly when we were there... More

First thing I will say is that the service was great. Very professional. The atmosphere was great and the place was packed even though it was a weekday. The food however was a let down. I had the fried chicken which was just o.k. We also ordered a crispy squid papaya salad, which was way too salty.

From the moment you walk into restaurant you feel like you have stepped back into the 1920's jazz era, perfect experience while in PS. Food was a bit more asian than i was expecting but was delicious none the same. We sat on the back patio which didn't have the same vibe as the inside of restaurant. Personally I prefer... More

We come to Tropical at least 3 times a month. Everything is great not a bad meal, the patio is awesome. Shaun W. is the best waiter there, Chris is the best bartender at Tropical. High recommend.

A great place for eating and drinking right in downtown Palm Springs. The room conjurs images of old Palm Springs, the jazz trio plays perfect jazz sets at the perfect volume. The service is first rate from start to finish and the menu is varied and doesn't take itself too seriously. But the most important the food is excellent and... More

A popular eating place and bar for the locals with more casual dining, and reasonably priced meals and wine. We were in a party of eight and enjoyed our meals which we all agreed were good value. The service was good at the start of our meal, but was spoiled when one of our party had her meal taken away... More

The service is consistently good and the food very tasty. This time we sat on the outdoor back patio and with heat lamps it was very comfortable. The menu changes and this time I ordered a huge pork chop with enough for leftovers!
