Calafia Cafe continues to serve delicious, fresh local cuisine. It is good for business as it can be quick although quite loud inside. Unfortunately the staff is overworked and stretched thin so at times you are served immediately (although with little emotion) and at times...More

My family and I went for brunch, it was our second time eating at calafia but first time brunch. Everything was 5 stars. Food, service and cleanliness. We will definably go back every time as are in the area.

Great noodles, great selection of appetizers! They also have a great salad and potato bar on the other side. We love coming here when we are in town. It's in a great Plaza. Perfect location, close to Stanford!

Calafia offers a variety of menu items that should appeal to everyone in your party. My graduate school daughter and I started with the Rock Cod Tostados, which was amazing. It was delicious and generously sized. We each selected a salad for our mains. She...More

My husband and I ate lunch at Calafia Café today and wonder what the fuss is about. My Panini and his salad were absolutely undistinguished except for the fact that they were over-priced. Don't think we will try it again.

This is one of those places where the service could have been more attentive to the point it detracted from how good the food was. Water wasn't refilled mid meal and the food took quite a while to come which I don't mind if you...More

I stopped by here for an early dinner with a family member and really enjoyed the casual atmosphere and décor. Our food was very good and the burger was so filling I had to give up on eating some of the bun and just finish...More

Chef Ayers made an amazing multi-course dinner for us and it prompted the group to schedule the next dinner outing at his restaurant Calafia Cafe. The food and service were underwhelming, unfortunately. Chicken tacos, duck dumplings and pizza were bland. Ribs were a bit tough,...More

The people who took me to Calafia eat there all the time. They were shocked to run into an overflow card, but we got a table after a very short wait. Unfortunately the staff, though friendly, was overworked and slightly slow. The wait was worth...More

Description
In 2009, Charlie Ayers leased nearly 5,000 square feet of space in the Town & Country Shopping Plaza across from Stanford University, realizing his dream of a owning neighborhood spot serving organic, sustainable, healthy, delicious food. Calafia Cafe & Market A Go-Go was an instant hit, and today still has crowds lining up to get a seat. This casual restaurant has an energetic vibe, and serves food inspired by the incredible bounty that is available in California. Calafia continues to bring the Silicon Valley community and its visitors together around fresh, farm-to-table cuisine in an always festive atmosphere.
