Jack's has been a Redding landmark for many years. Short menu--filet (10oz or 16 oz), New York, top sirloin brochettes, fried chicken and fabulous jumbo prawns. Comes with salad and potato (fries or baked.). They don't take reservations so best to get there early. Not much on ambiance but still that local charm. I love their tossed salad with blue... More

My husband and I were in Redding around dinner time and decided to find a steak place. Found this one online and decided to give it a try. Very glad we did. I had a 10 oz sirloin and he had a 10 oz NY steak. They came sizzling hot and perfectly cooked. They were also well cut and perfectly... More

Stiff drinks, excellent, well prepared steaks, salad and a baked potato, all done to perfection. (Yes, you can find fish or chicken on the menu, but for me, that is not the point.) Find the web site and check out the history...a real remnant of our Western past. Thirsty? Hungry? Do your self a favor: go to Jacks.

Jack's is so deceiving from the outside but if you want a truly awesome meal Jack's is the place. Salad with dressing on every leaf, perfectly baked potatoes and the greatest steak ever. If you haven't eaten dinner at Jack's you're missing out.

We split steak and paid 5.00 for extra potatoe and salad. It was outstanding that is the steak and potatoe but the iceberg salad was quite good. The service was outstanding. This is a must do kind of place. When we asked about desert they said coffee or after dinner drink. If it is not broken do not change it.

I was told this was a great steak house. People wait in line. It was crowded after 6pm. The salad was nothing to write home about. Lettuce and dressing...all you can eat. I was disappointed in steak. It wasn't near as good as I get other places. Don't understand all the great reviews.

Smells terrible in there. Food is just so so. crowded and hard to get a seat. Steaks are just average. People love this place but I would never go back again. tried it twice but never again.

Best steak house in Redding, and very busy because of the amazing food. I had to eat here several times on my trip!

When visiting Redding I always try to get to Jack's Grill. No reservations are accepted and it always seems busy. The menu is simple, no starters just several cuts of steak, fried chicken, scallops or shrimp, the Jack's stack and house ground hamburger steaks (with or without onions.) Your selection comes with a house salad and either fries or a... More
