Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I've been dreaming of going to this place for a very long time, until I did in 2019. This little place is really magical, the milk shakes are super nice, food is also lovely. The staff was super friendly. Every OC fan has to go...and check it out, it's super cute and, of course, just like on the programme!! Definitely a must! Can't wait to go again when in Redondo Beach.More

My teen is a fan of the old show The O.C. So on a recent trip to L.A. I let her make plans for a coupe outings. On her list was Redondo Beach, why? Well, although the O.C. Was set in Newport Beach, a lot...of the filming took place in Redondo Beach. Particularly, Beach and cafe scenes. I have to say having no interest in the show, a trip to the pier was so worthwhile. The beach is beautiful and the pier is a lovely visit. We saw seals up close and the fishermen were friendly. The coffee shop was a big hit for my daughter as she got to sit at one of the booths used in filming and saw some of the memorabilia. The staff was friendly and the toilets were acceptable. As we’d already had breakfast ( which looked pretty good, by the way) we opted for just milk shakes. Worth a visit whether you are a fab of the show or not. One important note, while parking is plentiful, they still use old fashioned coin meters. So have plenty of change!!!More

The service staff were friendly, watching our stuff while we went outside for pictures. They have literally every kind of food. Its like a food court stuffed into a little restaurant. But who cares about the food when you are on the end of a...pier at Redondo beach with a 180 view of the ocean and mountains.More

I come here for breakfast whenever I am in town. Nice spot on the pier where you can watch the fisherman. The menu is basic and food is solid but unspectacular. If you like the OC then you may enjoy coming here. I'd be lying...if I said I hadn't come here the first time because of that. Overall, fine spot for the price point (bfast for $10-12 with unlimited coffee). Staff is friendly enough. Never tried here for dinner.More

This looked quite good if rather caught in a time warp from the outside but once inside it is rather too basic to be of interest and the drinks we had were not at all up to scratch.

A tiny little diner right on a fishermen pier. Used in the past as a shooting location for the tv series The OC. Has tasty breakfast options and average prices! It was more for the experience to me, but I'd recommend it as a nice...getaway from crowded places to enjoy the view of the sea and fishermen patiently waiting to catch something!More

Love the Chef Breakfast! It's delicious and their coffee as well. Dining area is clean and service is great. This is my go to place for breakfast at the Redondo pier.

We visit here every time we go to California and the food impresses every time. The prices have gone up a little recently but that's okay it's still worth it to us. I highly recommend the french toast and the pork chops.

Right on the end of the pier so the view is great! Enjoyed watching the fishermen and waves while enjoying breakfast. It's nothing fancy, but the breakfast servings were generous and the food was good.

boy what a view!!! but why the smelly interior and why mexican food thatdoes not really have the flavours you expect? i love this place and when it comes to typical american diners.... i don't mind if they are a bit off. but this one...is not a dirty place but looks nice and neat. yet, when you enter it seems like someone forgot to clean the place for a long time. the waiter is modest but very friendly and I guess this place is popular with locals (i was there early and the only costomer). i ordered mexican breakfast. good food but nothing special. i know my mexican food and i know all the herbs and spices.but this one was pre-cooked beans and eggs , with a hopelessly burried taco that lost it's taste. not bad but not spectacular. guys! you have a super A-location!! pimp up your food and you'll have trafic jam early morning!!More

I stopped in for a burger and fries. The burger was decent. Nothing great about it. Fries were ok. Service was decent. Nothing spectacular overall. Place could use a little TLC but being on the pier, I guess it is part of the charm. It...is right next to where fishing is allowed so you can sometimes get the smell of fish and birds roaming around.More

Nice people, but the place was dirty and in need of serious TLC. The exterior picture and name were the same-but the interior was completely different. We stayed for breakfast-my huevos rancheros which was pretty good-the kids had waffles and pancakes with frozen/partially warmed up...strawberries-bill was close to $40 with tip. Would not recommend nor would I return.More

We had breakfast which was ok. Maybe the Greek food is the thing to get here. I would go back to try non-breakfast food. Service was great! The salsa was an odd color.
