Have gone there several times. Great place for good food and reasonably priced. Service is good. I had their pear salad and it was excellent. I also had the split green soup and it reminded of the soup back in New England. Loved it. Easy access for parking. Was going to Tower Theatre for local premiere of "King of Jazz"... More

This cafe is a rare find. It has great character and a wonderful eclectic decor. The outside dinning area is truly beautiful and set into a lush garden. The menu is creative and will have something yummy for all. I have come here for breakfast multiple times and have always been very pleased. The service is good and attentive. It... More

On our way from SF to Tahoe, we stopped by at about 9:30 for breakfast. Short wait, then on to a table with great friendly service and good food. Did their signature French toast which just melted in your mouth, so yummy.

Another fine lunch at the Tower Cafe. NIce big tables with plenty of room either on the patio or inside. I had the Irish Beef Stew which was excellent with a hint of spiciness. My wife had the BLAT, Bacon Lettuce Avocado And Tomato sandwich with a side salad and a wonderful cup, more like a bowl, of black eyed... More

This restaurant has at least a 1/2 wait every weekend for brunch but well worth the wait. This is one of the only places I know you can actually get an authentic Monte Cristo sandwich and they are Soooo good. They also have a full bar and several types of mimosas.

Been for breakfast many times and it is our go to spot with visitors. The french toast is the best anywhere and very rich! Be sure to get a glass of water. The mimosas are also great with breakfast. Weekends can be packed, so expect it and be patient.

I've been many times to Tower Café and I've never been disappointed. The food is excellent, the staff is super nice, the decor is wonderful and unique. What I like is that you can ask them to adapt the menu the way you like, the cook will do it for you. Our son has to follow a strict diet, no... More

The decorating is over the top mixture of gargoyle, day of the dead, and just creepy stuff. Interesting, but not enough to make me want to return. I think the huge portions for breakfast must be the draw, but really doesn't interest me. I am looking for fresh ingredients with something unique about the dishes. The french toast was very... We had breakfast here on a Wednesday and we're seated right away. The decor is gaudy and dusty. The Sacramento Bee said the decor is a "decorating nightmare in which someone thought it was a good idea to buy up gargoyles, animal carvings, tapestries, sombreros, framed Frida Kahlo-style prints, knickknacks of all shapes and sizes, then plaster the walls with... We just attended a movie [LION, Fabulous] at the Tower Theatre and were looking forward to a meal at the always unique Tower Café. We were surprised at what we recalled as to the prices. They seemed quire high. We settled and a pulled pork chimichanga. We feel we got a bean chimichanga. presentation and portion size was fine for... More
