Something for everyone. I've had enchiladas, ceviche, tacos, and burritos. Each has been delicious. Great margarita selection with full bar and decent beer selection as well.

My husband and I went to this restaurant during the holidays when we were visiting my daughter in Sacramento and had a truly warm and wonderful experience here! The waiter was extremely busy as you could see many local people celebrating holiday parties together, but he took the time to carefully explain the food and drinks, and when I wasn't... More

A Mexican friend of mine promised to take me here next time she was in town, so my sister and I went to check it out ourselves. We pride ourselves in our knowledge of authentic food from various regions of Mexico, mostly because our mother was from there and she was a fabulous cook. We ordered meals that would reveal... We were a party of six on a Friday night with no reservation anywhere. We happened along to this restaurant and decided to try it. We ate outside on a cool evening but the heaters were excellent; in fact, we were so warm that we took our coats off. It was very crowded inside (the sign of a popular restaurant)... More

The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas. It was VERY busy with 50 minutes wait for a table inside. No wait for tables on the patio under heaters. We agreed to sit on the patio and began to review the menu offering a delicious selection of upper priced Mexican fare. We waited and waited for a server to appear and... More

There were few Mexican places in the area, so when we heard about this one we knew we needed to try it. This was located on a side street off the main avenues, more in the residential district, which gave it a more inviting feel. The interior was nice, and had a lot of nice holiday decorations up. We were... More

Go for the happy hour drinks and appetizers. You can also get an awesome pitcher of margaritas. The food is authentic and make sure to get the bean dip. Excellent!

I was here 11/18 for a surprise Birthday party. There were 20 of us all together. I couldn't even hear the people who were sitting across from me. Some folks I hadn't seen for a while but it was impossible to converse. DON'T TAKE A DATE HERE! The food was average and the " pickles" that came with my fish... More

We stayed downtown and strolled over to dine at Zocalo, it was recommended by our hotel, the food was wonderful, especially the Chili Relleno. We dined outside which was really nice. The interior is beautiful, albeit noisy. They have a lot of hard surfaces that reflect the sound, but it was a great place and we loved it.

The food is excellent and the drinks are amazing. Zocalos takes me back to Mexico every time I walk into the doors. The location is at the heart of Downtown Sacramento and great place to stop by for dinner or drinks before going out on the town. The happy hour is one of the best ones I have come across... More
