This is by far the most upscale Mexican Restaurant that I have ever experienced. The menu has some specialty dishes that you will not find elsewhere. There is a dish called Cochinita Pibil. It is smoked shoulder of pork in an achiote rub, achiote glaze, habanero salsa and pickled red onion. It is to die for! Their Fish Tacos are... More

We've visited Zocalo on Capitol Ave twice: once for dinner, and once for brunch. Both experiences were equally excellent. Great for cocktails or coffee. Outstanding food, we can't get enough of the black bean dip. Tacos and burritos, plus a few unusual items, like the delicious casserole. Side cilantro rice is addictive. Prices are OK, service is excellent. Only real... More

We've been to this restaurant several times and the service is always great, the blackberry margaritas are superb and the salmon mole is just amazing. I just love this place! Wish they had more restaurants maybe in Citrus Heights or Folsom.

First time here. Was seated fast (get here 11:50am before the rush of people). There is not a ton of food on the menu. In and out within the hour. The burrito with chicken was possibly one of the best I've had. Large portions. Everyone loved the food. Service was good. The atmosphere was very nice. Can't wait to go... More

The drinks and appetizers were really good. The entrees were just not that good, there were 12 of us and almost all of us tried something different and none of us were impressed with the food in relation to the prices. We have tasted better burritos at the truck events for less price than at Zocalo. We will just stick... More

Something for everyone. I've had enchiladas, ceviche, tacos, and burritos. Each has been delicious. Great margarita selection with full bar and decent beer selection as well.

My husband and I went to this restaurant during the holidays when we were visiting my daughter in Sacramento and had a truly warm and wonderful experience here! The waiter was extremely busy as you could see many local people celebrating holiday parties together, but he took the time to carefully explain the food and drinks, and when I wasn't... More

A Mexican friend of mine promised to take me here next time she was in town, so my sister and I went to check it out ourselves. We pride ourselves in our knowledge of authentic food from various regions of Mexico, mostly because our mother was from there and she was a fabulous cook. We ordered meals that would reveal... We were a party of six on a Friday night with no reservation anywhere. We happened along to this restaurant and decided to try it. We ate outside on a cool evening but the heaters were excellent; in fact, we were so warm that we took our coats off. It was very crowded inside (the sign of a popular restaurant)... More
