We ate there before a concert and tasted all the california tequila they had. Excellent suggestions from the bartender on food and drink.

Great location for dinner in the block adjacent to the Community Center. We had good service from a knowledgeable and pleasant server who checked on us regularly, but didn't intrude. Loved the crusty rosemary foccacia with EVOO and balsamic, and the roasted nante carrots with burrata were excellent! The sirloin was cooked to a perfect medium rare, and although the... More

We went here after seeing a movie at the IMAX. We usually go to Esquire Grill, but we wanted to try a new restaurant. The specialty cocktails were very tasty (I had the Amaretto Sour) and the appetizers and entrees were delicious. We took home leftovers because the entrée portion sizes were large. I had the burger and the dirty... More

We had been walking around the neighborhood for a couple of hours, sampling wine at Luca and The Grand, both recommended. Time for dinner. Hock Farm has an intriguing script over the kitchen: Priest, Father, Judge ... All this referring to John Sutter, one of the community founders. Nonsense, of course. The guy was a natural con man. Happily, this... More

We enjoyed the 3 course dinner meal and wine pairing. The wild mushroom soup starter was delicious. The second course poached pear and endive salad and Main course of roasted pork loin were beautifully presented and flawlessly satisfying. Other dinner guests enjoyed the campari-honey glazed pork belly confit and the red wine braised beef cheek main course, both cooked to... More

Stopped by for lunch and glad we did .....yummy Beef, Provo and Pickle Brioche (more pickles and less cooked beef would have made it superb) the pulled pork slider was great as was endive, chicory and blue cheese salad and the daily five bean soup. Oh and our 13 year old devoured the Mac-n-Cheese. Server was professional, knowledgable and very... More

The restaurant is a nice fresh idea. They have a good selection of fine foods to try. They also have a small selection of lower cost items as well. They have a full bar and the atmosphere is pleasant. This is a great place to reserve a table for before a show or other event.

Trying to do the right things, but food was under-salted and had a few things that were obviously sitting under the heat lamp for quite some time. (wilted lettuce, and luke warm entree) Good wine list.

Description
A celebration of the Sacramento region's rich history and bountiful terrain, the restaurant is named after John Sutter's Hock Farm. The menu is inspired by the region's amazing bounty of produce, meats and hand-crafted goods. Many of the menu items are determined by what the chefs find at local farmer's markets and farms. The bar program features ingredient-driven classic cocktails, often re-imagined with local produce and locally-produced goods.
