I've never had the ribs, but have thoroughly enjoyed the chicken and fish for many years. Owner is super nice and I always stop in when in the area.

Really, when you walk in its right there in front of your face! They grill the chicken, fish etc. on a grill right at the counter. I managed to bypass that (however good it looked)and went for the salmon because I had been wanting salmon for a couple of days but was not expecting to get it here. And not... More

Tucked away in a little strip mall on the ocean side in Interstate 5 is a quaint little diner that specializes in fish and Mexican food. The owner/chef will cook your meal while you watch and socialize with while you meal is prepared to your specifications. He's entertaining and deserving of all the accolades on his walls. There are no... More

Most come for the chicken, but the "Red Snapper" meal is awesome and comes with tortillas, salad, salsa, rice and beans; it tastes amazing and is VERY LOW priced. ($5.50) The boneless fish filet is prepared over an open grill with delicious seasonings. The tortillas taste home-made and are a favorite. Hot sauces and complimentary pickled jalapeños also available. We... More

If you walk by Surfing Chicken, you might not stop by as it is definitely not fancy, but you'd be making a big mistake! We order take out at least once a week from there and have never had a bad meal! Big portions, great taste and good prices plus they offer a coupon in the Penny Saver!

I consider myself to be a burrito reviewer of novice-advanced levels, and I'm claiming the Carne Asada at the Surfing Chicken to be of the higher qualities I've consumed. A well portioned burrito with excellent grade Carne Asada Matt and plenty of actually streamed rice and beans. Served with outstanding service!

We had a take away meal from here while staying at the Holiday Inn Express which is just up the hill from the shop. The chicken was good but the rack of ribs was really lovely. It was a good price too.

Being "chicken joint" one would think they would specialize in "chicken", right? I was very disappointed to find the chicken is very low quality (likely bought frozen and at a discount). I eat a LOT of chicken and know when it's fresh and of I'm lucky, organic. Bigger breasts, not flat meat. The chicken here was poor; deflated and somewhat... More

Reading through the reviews, we just had to make a stop, since my family LOVES to eat chicken. We went on a Sunday, but it was closed, so we returned the next day. The chicken is INCREDIBLE! Moist, tasty and you get BIG servings, unlike say El Pollo Loco, where you get tiny pieces of chicken. These were monster servings... More
