I can't say enough good things about this place. NOTE THE NEW NAME: "Good Karma Artisan Ales and Cafe" More emphasis on the beer, less on the "vegan". This place is getting a great reputation for quality beers in San Jose. Let me start with the staff. Super friendly. Happy to encourage you toward the best food on the menu... More

We went because the food looked good online, the price was right, but mainly to revisit the hippie – vibe of the 60s that we so fondly remembered. Well, these "millennial hippies "are nothing like my generation used to be. That's not necessarily a bad thing, I just found it disappointing because I was hoping for a more interesting group... A nice little place to grab a beer and a bite to eat. They have different beer on tap that changes every so often while providing a vegan menu.

The line was quite long but it was worth it. I had a Belgian beer and Yellow Thai Curry w/ rice ($7.50). I loved curry! It was good portion and reasonable. Beer went well with spicy curry. Service was great. I became a fan of them.

I'm a meat eater. I'd rather have vegan food that does not have faux meat in it. I understand why vegans might want that. Meal was satisfying, but I simply struggled with the texture of the "vegetarian protein" in the Chile Verde. Channa Masala was good.

This is an informal but somewhat exotic eatery that features great craft beer among other unusual menu items and beverages. The vibe, as the vegan reference might suggest, is contemporary hippy with candles and minimalistic, crafty decor. There's a small bar where about 9 patrons can sit and there are a small number of tables inside and out on the... More

Found it! A place that is eclectic, good modern beats, tasty food and beer for the connoisseur. I really enjoyed their vegan steamed bun and sitting on the patio, engaging fellow patrons and watching the foot-traffic go by. Paradise in the heart of San Jose

I've been vegan for years and baklava is one thing I have missed, until now. And it wasn't just baklava, it was good, taste like butter baklava. I also had a salad which was yummy...lol.

This place is quite small, but there is some seating outside. Good selection of vegan foods as well as beer. I've had a number of different dishes and loved each one. Prices good and fun atmosphere.
