Stopped her and it was as good as one's in Bay Area. Lots of choices and the pizza was cooked to perfection. Nice location and friendly staff. Very clean.

Went here for some pizza had a small pizza it was good for the price the staff was excellent and very friendly the only reason I didn't give them a five star was because of the amount of flys that was around me.
WONDERFUL!! We walked down & got the veggie to go w/ a large salad (that I made myself w/ yummy fresh mushrooms, beets, thinly sliced purple onions, radicchio, arugula, etc.)--- great evening on the patio of our Airbnb w/ some nice wine & candles! Couldn't...have been more delightful!More
Village Host has several restaurants in the Santa Cruz area and one in Paso Robles. This is their SLO store. The service is always friendly and their pizza is very good. The crust is very crisp on the bottom, but chewy on top, not too...thick or thin. They have several unique combinations, like the Chick in a Green Dress. Different and all very good. I've been coming here since they opened many years ago and it still remains one of my favorite local spots. It almost always busy, not not crowded. The staff is well trained and the experience is very consistent. They have a several nice lunch specials as well.More
We had never been to SLO before and we were simply killing time before our flight out. We just happened to find the Village Host Pizza so we stopped in. The staff greeted us as we entered and made us feel like locals. GREAT JOB!!...(It was Saturday April 29th at 1pm). They have a great pizza menu along with other items but we wanted pizza and it was delicious!! Great job!More
We went there looking for a place to watch football on Sunday and a place where the kids could play some games....We found it. The food was decent, nothing to write home about, they have a nice well stocked salad bar. We also ordered a...pizza which was decent. All and all, everyone went home happy, I got my football and a beer, the kids got their games.More
This was the third time I've come to visit family in the SLO area and coming in late they would just run out and get a Village host pizza. Each and everything the pizza has been consistently good. They use some sort of corn meal...in with the dough which gives it a different but good taste. I tried the everything, a Hawaiian, pepperoni and a straight cheese and all were equally good. The crust on the everything was just as well cooked as just the plain cheese. That is a sign that they know what they are doing. One of these days I'll make it inside but until then the take out will work! If you haven't, give them a try.More
This place has just okay pizza, the sauce is a tad on the bland side. The crust is nice and crispy though. I ordered online to-go, and my order was ready in about 20-30 minutes. The green salad was good, they have nice fresh ingredients.
First time visit. We were not disappointed at all with the pizza. Cruchy crust. Yummy. Outdoor patio as well inside seating.
I love this place! Classic 80's era American pizzeria. Reminds me of Straw Hat back in the day and they even have an arcade. I know there are some who may not like it but my family lives this pizza. This is our go to...pizza in SLO! Sauce has a little spice to it. Cheddar and mozzarella in the cheese .. Crunchy crust! Good stuff!More
Pizza and beer is a must here guys. We had a custom pizza with Linguica. Loved it! Had 805 beer because of it being the area code in Slo County. Come one! Come all! You won't be disappointed.
We have been visiting this location off and on for years every time we visit family in the area. The beer is cold and the pizza is pretty good. The only negative is that when the place is busy it can get extremely noisy. There...is better pizza in the SLO area but this place is a good place to take it easy and have some food when you are in the area.More
we were on a long trip back from Big Sur and wanted a great local pizza restaurant on the way home. We saw the 4 stars and decided this would be the place. Basically, it looks like a Roundtable Pizza location- the type of no...frills, order at the counter spot thats popular for college kids. Pizza was just ok- why is everyone raving about this crust? Its hard and you have to chew on it forever. Picture pizza ingredients on a dense cracker. I've had pizza in New York and Chicago and everywhere in between (and we had people from both cities respectively in our group) and this was nowhere NEAR the best pizza any of us had eaten. Nice selection of toppings and a nice salad bar. Other than that, its just okMore
Retrorich, Thank you for stopping by our restaurant and taking them time to write an honest review. We are glad you took notice of the extra effort we put towards a large selection of quality toppings. That is specifically an area in which we strive...More
