The food was good, but very overpriced. Soup or salad is extra. Known for the steaks, they were very good. We didn't have a very good waiter, which made or evening unpleasant. A waiter from another area of the restaurant heard our grandson get fussy and came over. He took a napkin and made a little mouse out of it... More

tried their dry aged steak. Did not seem similar or as good as other dry aged steak I've had. In fact, seemed worse than the steak and eggs you get at Denny's. Ambience is decent though. I'd go for appetizers and a few drinks again though

Located in the ground floor of what appears to be an office building, as you approach the entrance, your first sight is of a meat locker where they are dry aging beef. This was a good sign. Upon arrival for my reservation shortly after the restaurant opened, we taken to our table right away with no wait. We were seated... More

We had dinner at Porterhouse this past Friday evening, and I must say I was unimpressed. For a steakhouse that charges as much as they do, I expected quite a bit more. When we arrived we were greeted at the host stand and taken to our table right away. Since this was an early dinner (5:30) this was as expected,... More

Excellent cuts of dry, aged beef that you can see as you walk in. Great place on peninsula to get high quality steak.

We had a group of ten for a party and it was our first time there. A bit pricey but food and service were both great. Several different meals and everyone thought they were delicious. Will go back. Would give it 4.5 of 5 if available.

Tasty cowboy ribeye on the bone $42, but it really didn't look like an 18 ounce steak. Cooked right, medium rare. Waiter over-friendly/presumptuous (thought he was a comedy club Henny Youngman, but some of the insult comedy was funny and he was a nice man in his way. Risky with business customers at a steakhouse) In the end it was... More

Great traditional steakhouse that I had never heard of before finding it here. And I live a half mile away! Does not have a storefront on the street, so you have to know it is there. Specialty is dry-aged steaks, which were terrific. Also has excellent service. Loved the truffle oil mac and cheese. Also tried their tagliatelle ragu, which... More

The renowned art of dry aging finally arrives in San Mateo, as our new dry aging window is now completed. We are proud to be the only restaurant on the Peninsula (In between San Francisco & San Jose) to have an in-house dry aging facility. Our new menu featuring these marvelous cuts of beef is now available. Tasting menus featuring these exceptional steaks will also be offered. To accompany your steak, our Wine List celebrates the acclaimed wines of Napa Valley, Willamette Valley, France and Italy. In addition to our steak and chop offerings, our Chef provides for a daily selection of fresh fish and seafood. Whether you are having a romantic dinner, entertaining some friends and family, having a business meeting, or hosting a private party, we will provide you with the ideal setting for your next outing.
