An extensive menu and not overly expensive as Japanese food goes around here. Service was fine. We could actually sit and talk in this little restaurant in the Marina Shopping Center. Ample parking at dinner time, but often crowded at lunch or other times. Food was pretty good.

Let me get to the point. The sushi is not top grade. I would not order sushi, but the tempura and the rest of the dishes we ordered were tasty. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was fine.

Found this place by accident, came on a Tues with co workers for lunch. If you know the Ramen scene in San Mateo, its a min 30min wait for the other two popular choices... This restaurant was clean, with no wait. Great selection of all the traditional ramens, along with a few unique to the restaurant. Ordered the Spicy Tonkotsu...... More

Visited Inshou 3 or 4 times on this trip, it offers excellent Yakitori and very excellent sushi and many other delights, including ice cold beer. The price is very affordable for California

The place is smelly It was quite warm, even too warm though we've asked to turn the air condition on We mainly had sushi & sashimi. The food is ok Nothing much to expect really given it's location We still enjoyed it but mostly for the company as opposed to the culinary expectation

This review is based solely on what I ordered and ate. While the Yakionigiri and Sunomono were good (but not great), the Yakitori main meal was disappointing at best. Yakitori is intended to be served either Tare (with Yakitori Sauce) or Shioyaki, with a pile of dipping salt. It was served neither style, leaving the ordered skewers with little or... More

Located in a fairly busy strip mall where parking is pretty good. They serve all the standard fare that you would find in most Japanese restaurants- sushi, hot noodles, sashimi, tempura etc...... I've been there several times and the food has always been consistently tasty.

Food was good - not amazing but good - but the atmosphere was very special and it felt like being in Japan for an evening. The waiters were rather nice and most customers were Asian. This is definitely a good place to go for an evening out

It's located in Marina shopping center in foster city. The place is small. You might want to call ahead because a few times we were there half the restaurant was occupied by company function. Wait could be long (30-60 min). The food is very good and quite authentic. It has a nice tapa menu. It's on the pricy side.
