I'm reluctant to give this place a good review because there aren't a lot of seats and I don't want to stand in line like they do at Sol Food. I am in a rut and always get the Kalua Pork, but have tasted other things my family gets and everything is tasty.

We found this place by accident next to a city parking lot. We enjoyed the BBQ chicken and coleslaw so much that we went back the next night. The portions are generous. They have a large variety of beverages, including beer. The staff is friendly and helpful. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the food and atmosphere. We would definitely go... More

Best Hawaiian fare outside of the islands! The Spam musibi is the best. The Kaluia pork is excellent as are the Korean spareribs. And you can finish up with a shave ice.

In a toss-up between which ethnic cuisine to go to -- this eatery situated on the same block as Sol Food has no waiting lines, is easy to get to and be done with. The food is Hawaiian as expected and the prices carry the Hawaiian tag. Perhaps, answers why the majority gravitate a little further to the Sol Food... More

Fast friendly service. Great atmosphere. I had the Hawaiian BBQ chicken on my first visit, coconut shrimp on the second trip. Sides were rice and macaroni. Outstanding! Flavor filled served hot and fresh. A real gem.

So much great barbecue for a great price! I got the Hawaiian bbq chicken and it was delicious and a very generous portion. I would definitely come often if I lived in the area!

On very short notice I had to find some food for a group of 8 hard working guys in the late afternoon. Recalling that Mauna Loa was a short walk away, I called them and said, "Can you please make a take out order for 8 guys. Just make it the favorite dishes and I'm certain that will be fine."... When you just can't face another meal without kalua pig or musubi, the Mauna Loa Hawaiian BBQ may be the place to go. Their lunch specials are a very good deal. The dinner prices are reasonable enough, but there is sooo much food. I always end up taking a bunch home. I'm kind of stuck on a Kalua pig thing... More

The food is very tasty, unique, well prepared, and a real value. The dining room is friendly and informal, with an aloha vibe.

Lunch or dinner at Hawaiian barbecue is always good. The Kahului pork is great as is the teriyaki chicken or steak. Shaved is is a nice treat too.
