You hear great things about a restaurant and it doesn't live up to the hype. Not The Lark. Everything about it is exquisite. The farm to table quality of food, the imaginative cooking where even a simple chicken becomes delectable, and a wine list that's creative and affordable for all tastes.

The Lark is always busy and always good! Make a reservation unless you want to wait hours or want to try your luck at getting a spot at the bar. If they are too busy head over to Les Marchands, which is attached to it and is also a charming place! Request to sit outside because they have heaters and... More

Classy casual in the "new" Funk Zone, The Lark was the dining highlight of a recent trip to Santa Barbara. Service was spot-on, the wine list small but well-selected with local wines and the food was top-notch all the way. We enjoyed the Rosemary Cornbread to start and then followed with several salads, an above-average Roasted Beets & Strawberries and... More

Lively and sophisticated, but casual ambiance, whether sitting inside or out. Interesting menu choices. Everything we ate was excellent. Staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. At the top of my list on every trip to Santa Barbara. Extremely popular and deservedly so. Reserve early

This is an unique restaurant with many well-constructed and tasty dishes, and we had a great time! We started with cornbread and brussels sprouts, along with some cocktails and wine. The brussels sprouts were unbelievable, and the rest were very good as well. For our main courses, we shared the grilled octopus, crispy duck confit, and the California chicken. All... More

Can I just say that Jasmine was amazing last night. Jonathan also was fantastic. After we chose wine she told us what to eat with it. Her menu knowledge was second to none. The food was amazing. Burrata especially. Make a reservation as this place is busy. We did manage to sit at the communal table without one though. It... More

This is a place to share plates. Everything we ordered was outstanding--the wedge, the cauliflower, the beef. Everyone at our table was happy.

Struggled to eat here as this is the place to go. Had to chose pretty late eating time. Try to get a drink at the bar, almost impossible. Once seated, food was good but then waited way to long to pay the bill. Not the best place I ate while in Santa Barbara and will not eat here again when... More

With an imaginative yet approachable menu created by the gifted Jason Paluska, The Lark celebrates everything found around Santa Barbara County – wineries, farms, ocean and natural beauty. The stunning design strives to connect to the past and the future, using discovered objects from the past and blending them with modern, urban and industrial materials to spectacular effect.
