You don't find many great Cajun restaurants outside of Louisiana, but The Palace Grill is one of them--in Santa Barbara of all places. The Palace is nearly always packed with a lively crowd. Instead of bread or rolls, you're given an assortment of little muffins, all of which are unusual and delicious. If you're lucky, you can have "imported" redfish... More

So glad to know we're one of your favorite California Cajun spots, Greg! Sounds like you were lucky enough to visit when we had the redfish special on, and I'm thrilled you enjoyed that as much as you did. As far as your server goes, I can't really fault her for wording that question the way she did, but I'll... More

This was a high quality lunch and fairly authentic to New Orleans food. The Seafood gumbo was excellent and the Organic Catfish was too! Reasonably priced.

The famous Cajun-Creole restaurant The Palace Grill is not only the best Cajun-Creole restaurant in Santa Barbara, it may well be the best restaurant in town, period. There are explicit reasons why it has earned its reputation. Number 1 is the menu, which is so varied that whether you prefer fresh fish, aged steaks, Italian or Creole Pasta, a Cajun,... More

A local friend recommended this place and we really enjoyed it. They bring mini muffins with butter to begin with and I'm not exaggerating they were incredible. We ordered the crawfish with vegetables and jamblaya pasta as main courses and the crawfish popcorn as appetizer. The pasta and popcorn were pretty good and the crawfish was outstanding. It is quite... More

This is a great restaurant in Mississippi style of New Orleans. Our host Fernando was excellent and guided us through our great meal. Flavours were fantastic, highly recommend the veal on rice. To finish a chicory coffee was the perfect touch. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are down town in Santa Barbara.

Was at the restaurant with my family. Really great and friendly service from the start. The food was good and the portions was huge. The whole restaurant sang together with the waiters. Very cool. Will recommend the restaurant for sure.

This restaurant has arguably been one of the best in Santa Barbara for years. The food is fantastic. We were recommended to try the Palace grill by two different people. We enjoyed a sampler platter between us, which included there famous bread pudding soufflé with whiskey cream. Service was good and we came away full to bursting. Would highly recommend.
