My wife and I woke up early the last morning of our romantic getaway in Santa Barbara and decided to drive up State St. on this rainy morning to find a spot to eat. We saw Joe's Cafe at 7:27am, it was empty, but decided to park and give it a try. I had to loop around the block and... More

We went to celebrate my father's birthday and we had a great experience. After dinner the place transforms into a bar with music. Very fun.

We had the Tuesday special pot roast and the special steak for lunch. Good home cooking style food. Pot roast came with roast carrot and roast onion as well as baked potato. Had the steak with chips but it was totally floating in gravy since it is normally served with mash potato. Sizes were quite large and we were so... More

Joe's Café is a classic Santa Barbara restaurant. They have very good sandwiches. I stopped with my grandson on our wine tasting trip to Santa Ynez Valley to show him the beautiful old bar and have some of their very good sandwiches. I had the Brisket open faced sandwich for $12.95. The brisket was very lean and delicious. My grandson... More

Nice, but not over-the-top. There is alot of pride there about how long they´ve been in business, which taken into account seems to be because they have fair prices with really good food and good service. Even with a slight human error with my ordered side, the staff rectified it is so fast that you cant complain. Simply a very... More

I usually go to the Palace-my favorite restaurant but we opted for Joe's along the street. Cosy atmosphere.I had the chill and corn bread and a couple of deserts. It was a delicious dinner with service provided by experienced servers. Loved it.

This place was great. We were driving from LA to SF and decided to look for some breakfast. We found this places. The food was good and the price as well. I want to go back to San Barbara to go have some good breakfast. The service was averages but not bad.

Opens early and is a choice spot for on the road style and mexican style breakfasts. Large worn china mugs and blue plate platters served old-fashioned bacon and eggs or huevos rancheros.

Stopped for late lunch on our way back from Baja. I had a craving for their Spaghetti and Meat Sauce, oh don't forget the salsa and sourdough. Wife also had her usual the Crab Sandwich, just what we expect, hit the spot and reached that special spot of satisfaction. We are customers from 1973 to present, love the place

Cool old-school deco with a big menu and not too pricey food. You should stop here while visiting Santa Barbara Main Street to try any of their sandwiches, mac and cheese and homemade pies.
