Nice, but not over-the-top. There is alot of pride there about how long they´ve been in business, which taken into account seems to be because they have fair prices with really good food and good service. Even with a slight human error with my ordered side, the staff rectified it is so fast that you cant complain. Simply a very... More

I usually go to the Palace-my favorite restaurant but we opted for Joe's along the street. Cosy atmosphere.I had the chill and corn bread and a couple of deserts. It was a delicious dinner with service provided by experienced servers. Loved it.

This place was great. We were driving from LA to SF and decided to look for some breakfast. We found this places. The food was good and the price as well. I want to go back to San Barbara to go have some good breakfast. The service was averages but not bad.

Opens early and is a choice spot for on the road style and mexican style breakfasts. Large worn china mugs and blue plate platters served old-fashioned bacon and eggs or huevos rancheros.

Stopped for late lunch on our way back from Baja. I had a craving for their Spaghetti and Meat Sauce, oh don't forget the salsa and sourdough. Wife also had her usual the Crab Sandwich, just what we expect, hit the spot and reached that special spot of satisfaction. We are customers from 1973 to present, love the place

Cool old-school deco with a big menu and not too pricey food. You should stop here while visiting Santa Barbara Main Street to try any of their sandwiches, mac and cheese and homemade pies.

Had a very enjoyable meal in here on a Sunday night but boy was the place busy. As such there was a really great atmosphere and it was just buzzing. The full rack of ribs were just ENORMOUS and my wife commented when I was done that this was about the first time in 35 years of marriage when she... More

Went for breakfast, expecting more from good reviews on trip advisor. Ordered an omelette without tomato and given it with tomato and told it was onion. Filtered coffee wasn't too bad. If you're looking for quick fast food it might be for you, but note nothing healthy to choose from

This cafe offers great service- we came across Joe's after walking out of another cafe minutes before- In Joes, we were told we'd have a 30 min wait for a table do crossed the street to get a coffee. A table came free and the young lady fro Joes ran across the street to tell us, before we ordered our... More

Joe's Cafe, a venerable Santa Barbara dining and drinking institution, is the oldest restaurant in the city. Over the years, it has become a favorite for locals and tourists alike, who mingle over cocktails or chat during dinner in a buzzing, traditional atmosphere. The exceptional ambiance underscores its rich heritage and long history. Our menu is hand crafted, modern American favorites in generous portions. Diners can find everything from prime steaks and chops, savory lamb shank, market fresh seafood and vegetables, classic sandwiches, pastas, daily soups, burgers, vegetarian entrees, and salads.
