I've heard two stories about where the name came from. The parcel of land it's built on or the fact that all the ingredients come from 104 miles around. Came here with a colleague after a long day at the convention center down the road. We were very happy with our meals and we thought the dinner menu was most interesting. Several of the items were a bit salty, and salt is often used to artificially boost the flavor of the food. My steak was OK, the mushroom were very good but the rest was too salty. We really appreciated this fine restaurant in Santa Clara Mariott hotel . Excellent and fine dinner with a great menu . Very good wines both Californian and French . The staff is very pleasant and professional . The bar after dinner is a very kind place.

We are never disappointed when we come here. We have been coming for over 6 years mostly for celebratory dinners and we've had no let downs. The chef is among the great ones. Came here after a day long symposium. Great service. Good food. Nice atmosphere. Bathrooms are kinda a walk away :)

With the restaurant's outside being rather inconspicuous, we were quite surprised by the warming ambience in the ski-lounge-like bar area. The bar staff was friendly and very accommodating. This place takes the cake. $23 for a hamburger with cold fries. I had fettuccine that was so bad it was inedible. Don't get it thinking it will be like fettuccine Alfredo. It's not. Fantastic food with great flavor to it. But you will pay for it. I had the steak there and it was perfectly cooked and very tasty! Great wine selection and draft beer on tap.

The wild California halibut over jambalaya was superb (probably a bit pricey @ $40 but was really good), but the starter - 2 tiny Haikkado scallops @$20 was a rip-off. The Chardonnay was excellent, as was the service. And surprisingly good atmosphere for a hotel restuarant
