I always like the spicy Dan with the green curry topping. It has fresh organic vegetables. Although the dishes have a definite Asian influence, their interpretation has their spin. For example, when you think of green curry you would expect it to be hot... In this case it is spicy but not even mild. In general, I find the flavors... More

Our week night go-to dinner spot for healthy and delicious food. My fave: Spicy Dan's Peanut with green chicken. Yum!

Read about it in newspaper organic veggies, so we went, ordered ginger beef, bowl of fragment jasmine rice, little sauce no ginger taste, beef was mainly grisly and fat, the veggies were julien carrots all six of them and green onions about the same. Very pricey for a bowl of rice. Would not recommend this place.

We were just passing through Santa Cruz and stopped at this no-frills restaurant. It's slogan is "organic Asian street cuisine." Tasty and healthy. While meat is on the menu, vegans and vegetarians will be satisfied.

Great noodles, fun vibe, service can be wonky at times, but that's true of most of Santa Cruz. Great to eat a meal without fuss and the neighborhood is fun to walk around!!!

This spot is in the very casual Seabright neighorhood. Local depends on this spot for organic fresh noodle and rice dishes with lots of choices of what to mix in to their bowl! Open late and always busy and casual.

I love being able to mix different veggies with different types of meat. It is all very tasty and always comes to you hot and fresh.

From the outside, the place looks like a hut. Inside, it looks like a hut with a take-out window. There's a small area with some wooden benches and tables, floral oil cloth tablecloths cover the rustic tables, and plastic sheeting is used on the walls to keep out the wind. Very casual! If the place is busy, there won't be... More

Usually we enjoy the food at Charlie Hong Kong. This Sunday night April 10th must have been a bad night in the kitchen. The food was not good tasting. We ordered to go and did not taste it until we got home. If I had done so at the restaurant it would have been returned. The 'Little Dan' and 'peanut... More

Charlie Hong Kong is definitely a unique eating experience. The colorful and open air, though protected, dinning area makes the eating experience like one might have in an Asian marketplace. A variety of mix & match vegan dishes have something for everyone who appreciates simple cooking based on multiple Southeast Asia countries.. Expect generous helpings and complex flavors, fast over... More
