You will feel like a 50's mafia boss in here, great cocktails and beer. It literally has a lot of red lights all around. On a cold night look for the fireplace!

This is always a tough place to get into and for good reason. We tried this place for restaurant week and reservations were limited a week in advance and on a Monday no less. That speaks for the great reputation this place has. They did not disappoint anyone in my party. Everything was great from the Caesar salad for an... More

we went in for a drink before dinner, It's Red alright. The Gin and Tonic I had was spectacular and I had to have a second. The bar tender was perfect and we had a great time for the 45 minutes we were there. If your in Santa Cruz and want to get a great G and T at a... More

Hung out with some drinks and appetizers with a group of fellow workshop-goers one afternoon in Santa Cruz. It was a quiet place in the mid-afternoon though I am sure more lively in evening. Shabby chic decor and a good place for a group to hang for awhile!

I love going here in October because they go all out decorating for Halloween. Usually very crowded on the weekends.

I was only in town for a few days and I ended up going to Red a room twice because I loved the bar that much! Super cool setting upstairs and nice and helpful bartenders. Sweet spot!

What else can you ask for? The Red is a local's hangout and sometimes it does get crazy but there are no limits of what you can find in here. The food is good, I've come here late and hungry and their fries are delicious. Some nights the music and the UCSC kids are too much but if you don't... More

It was OK, we went, had two drinks and left. We got a cool photo though. The whole place is lit with red lights. Santa Cruz down town is kinda depressing to me. You can take the trolley bus from the beach for a quarter each way. That was the best part.

Wonderful restaurant and lounge located in downtown Santa Cruz. Very reasonably priced. Nice jazz trio playing. Love the ambience. The lounge area has a real relaxing and comfortable feel. Excellent service. The fried chicken, soft shell crab, and Brussels sprouts chips were delicious. At $9, the cocktails were reasonably priced for what you got. The pomegranate mojito hit the spot.

We went to the Red Room for cocktails on the evening we arrived. The atmosphere was very dark and comfy, with over stuffed chairs and plenty of seating. The bar service was great and I recommend the Jane Grey cocktail, featuring Earl Grey tea flavors. Very nice!
