Food is directly from Lyon, France. Fresh, delicious French food with nightly specials. We had poached salmon, which was perfectly prepared. Usually it's either overdone or underdone. Americans will find the interior unsatisfying, but it's very European. We went there two nights in a row it was so good!

Cozy and modern at the same time, a great spot to relax and have coffee or tea and a pastry. It's an intimate place with dark but homey decor. You can sit at a table and people watch through the transparent front.

Lovely, quaint little spot. but have some misgivings. I started with the escargots and my friend had the mushroom salad. I was expecting more flavor from the escargots. Perhaps a salted butter and a smidge of garlic for the escargots to swim in would have given me a different reaction. The mushroom salad was also a little bland. I would... More

in a strange part of town, with no parking. interior needs serous help! not only dark and with a croweded feel, but seemingly no air conditioner. food is average with very typical french bistro fare.

While unassuming from the outside, once we stepped in the door we knew this place was special. We went on a Saturday evening and felt fortunate to get seated promptly at one of the last remaining tables. There were many tempting items on the menu; at our server's suggestion, I had the salmon in dill sauce - divine! My husband... More

This little restaurant has a wonderful menu. The food was expertly prepared and was served hot. The house cabernet was excellent and even though we did not think we could eat dessert, we could not resist after the waiter brought the dessert tray by. The service was fabulous, the staff friendly and the food outstanding.

Friends took us to Le Petit Cafe. It is one of their favorite spots for a meal. We quickly understood why. The restaurant is small, not fancy, and does not have the sterile look that chains often have. The food was excellent. Several of us had escargot as an appetizer. It was delicious. I had the roasted duck as my... More

Small cozy place that seems to have a popular following of regulars. The menu is authentic French cuisine (which means vegetarians might have to haggle a bit with the attentive servers to get something modified from the menu), but everything is comfortably flavored and comfortably priced.

There is a definite neighborhood vibe - and for a french restaurant we were impressed with the french speaking server. The mushroom salad starter was excellent - we will definitely have this again the next time we come. The chicken with dijon sauce and vegetables was very good as were the crab cakes...both recommended. Our friends who had wine thought... More

We enjoyed appetizers of smoked salmon and a wonderful crab cake with salad. The mushroom soup and caesar were OK. Yummy sand dabs, nice roast duck and two specials: filet mignon tips, and slices of pork tenderloin. Entrees are generous servings with with carrots and green beans and a choice of rice or potatoes. Lovely setting and great service.

Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
