The Border Grill in Santa Monica is my favorite restaurant in Los Angeles (Louise's Trattoria is probably a close second). The restaurant serves great Mexican food, and the two chefs who own the restaurant used to have a cooking show on the food network (the...More

We had great appetizers and Margaritas to start and we should have stopped there. The meals are so salty and heavy, you feel like dirt coming out of there. Stick to the appies and you"ll be fine (or perhaps a salad would work too)

Food Network chefs own this fab restaurant where the salsa, main dishes and drinks are divine. Good atmosphere with subdued lighting and very friendly staff. Prices are good too.

Pretty good, south of the border fare. But the acoustics in this place are ridiculous. You can barely hear the person next to you.

We had lunch and were very impressed with the service and the quality of the food at reasonable prices. We don't usually choose Mexican fare but we did this time and really loved it.

To my great fortune I was referred to Border Grill in S.M. What a great place. Had one (okay two) of the best mojitos I’ve ever had. Happy hour you can get 3 different tacos for $9.00. But these are no ordinary tacos. Think the...More

Border Grill offers a fresh twist on Mexican restaurants. Their menu items are limited, but the foods are flavorful and healthy. The atmosphere is very casual and the service is excellent. For an appetizer, we tried the corn tamales and plantain empanadas. Nothing spectacular. I...More
