I went here for a quick, cheap breakfast/brunch and Holy Guacamole did not disappoint! I Great food, no bathroom though - not a problem for me but I think it's good to know ahead of time.

Super Tacos, Holy Tacos, very satiated. Just walking in made me over-order. Definitely authentic in preparation and taste. I had a few fish tacos and carne asada. Super Salsa, Holy Salsa! Nice location in Santa Monica on the main stretch. A bit pricey, but the tacos earned their elated status. Stuffed!

My family is exapat Americans living in Australia where folks have little idea how to put together decent Mexican food. Visiting Santa Monica, we had a deep craving for good burritos, which was well soothed by Holy Guacamole. We split some veggie, carne asada and pollo burritos. All were delicious. There's no sign above the door to the restaurant, but... More

A favorite when I lived in L.A., I almost missed it on this trip because the building has been repainted, and the distinctive mural that used to mark the storefront was no longer there. However, after searching two days (traffic is fairly steady on Main St. here - it's much easier to look on foot), I finally saw it. What... More

Great food for takeout or dining in (at one of the three tables that they have). Very authentic. Great take out at 1 in the morning on the weekends as well. Steak tacos, burritos, or anything on the menu will make you very happy. A little pricey for the portion that you receive and some of the workers may want... More

FAB and FRESH authentic Mexican served with a smile. Super tiny little place so get it to go or just squeeze in. Burritos are HUGE. They have mexican coke and also LOTS of hot sauce.

Not much on ambience, decor. Feng Shui wasn't for crap. But a breakfast burrito that will seriously melt your face and make you see God. Bet their lunch/dinner burritos are pretty great, too.

Very tiny/crowded place. We were able to snag a table while we waited for our food. It seemed like it took a while, but it was lunch time & packed with people. I got the tacos, which were just okay. The guacamole was pretty good, but nothing special. My husband and sister got super burritos which were HUGE and looked... More

Stopped here after finding some positive reviews as we had been walking for a couple of hours between the Pier and Venice Beach and had built up quite an appetite. As stated by several reviewers, this place is a little hole in the wall that we would have walked by without noticing had I not seen the reviews. I'm glad... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
