food is quite avearge, but the ambiance harkens back 50 years to dark lighting and comfortable leather booths. aside from its historical look and full bar, not much to say about this centrally located eatery. attendant parking at nite.

I usually go on Sundays, great for families, great margaritas, tasty tacos and tostadas, prices are very honest, a little more light in the dining room would be great...

I have been coming here for years and bring all of our out of town friends here. Always a hit! When our friends come back into town....they always request a visit to Casa Escobar. I have decided to finally write a review since I just...More

Surliest waiter ever. Quirky décor (spongebob piñata). Food decent, overpriced. Somehow two people spent $90.00 on a couple of margueritas, some enchaladas and two Mexican coffees.

The first thing I noticed about this place is that it is a little dark with a bar area and different rooms all tied together. My guess is that the building used to be a bar or lounge in prior life. The food is good,...More

This is closer to being a Mexican restaurant as anything else, but there’s something undefinable about its menu. It’s different, anyway. The restaurant itself looks run down, and comes across as a throwback to a bygone age, namely the early 80’s. I was there for...More

I came here for a quick happy hour and the food was excellent. I will definitely be coming back here for an actual dinner.

Been coming to the Escobar for years. The food is funky cal mex and there are some decent items on the menu like the cheese enchilada. I rate the atmosphere as a five only because the 1970s red decorator colors just scream dive. You will...More

Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a
balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a

roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the
famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles
weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa
Monica pier spins high above the water, while park
