I didn't rate the coffee and couldn't see anything I'd order there - it looked like an Italian run cafe in London that would serve you a cooked breakfast but the place was ok, I noticed that everyone in there was very happy etc while I waited for my espresso- the juice bar on main on the same side walking... Figure out what fabulous coffee you want then order the Breakfast Sandwich--it is so much more and you'll be happy. We added salami and we're oozing gratitude. Dooo it.

We stayed at a nearby motel and visited this coffee shop every morning. Other than the muffins, everything is made on site and is totally delicious. We tried the amazing frittata, a caramel apple pastry (OMG), and the breakfast sandwich. I had a Chai Latte every morning that was so delicious that I considered going back for seconds each day.... We stayed at Sea Shore Motel next door. Foraging hopefully for coffee & munch, found this next door. Wonderful, full-bodied coffee, and an enticing array of baked treats on display. Italian owners very friendly. Great find.

We visited Amelia's cafe based on all the positive reviews it had received- and it didn't disappoint! We ordered two coffees which were the best we've had in the States (and we're from Melbourne!) Now the panini's were delicious! My husband said it was "the best sandwich he's ever had- possibly in his life"- now that could just mean that... More

Amelia's is just next to the Sea Shore Motel. Breakfast and lunch were great. The staff is very kind, efficient and friendly. Panini are yummy.

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
