Bistro 29 is a standout. The food is made with creativity and meticulous care. The servers are great at explaining the food options. Intimate atmosphere and a great date night place. Consistently good and marvelous creativity show on their vegetarian dishes. Only critique is their wine list. Lots of French values but the quality level of the wine list doesn't... More

I was very impressed. The food was great and very generous proportions. The wine list was good and not very expensive. My father was very pleased that the corkage was only $15 and of course they would wave corkage if you bought a bottle from the restaurant. We had a memorable meal.

We thoroughly enjoyed the foie gras and the butter lettuce salad for starters. For our entrees we enjoyed the steak frites and the chicken frites. The food was delicious. The wine list was very reasonable with both French and Napa Valley selections. We would definitely visit again should we be in town.

Friends suggested this place, we had never even heard of it, so we went for dinner last nite. Outstanding experience. Good vibe from the moment we walked in, excellent service, and glorious food. One of the absolute best lamb shanks i have ever had, in a light, but delicious sauce. Chocolate dessert thingy was just simply obscene, i am sure... More

Bistro 29 is a small family-owned French restaurant located in Downtown Santa Rosa specializing in “Breton” regional cuisine, and is one our go-to places for great bistro food. The number 29 comes from the department of Finistère (end of the earth) located in the upper tip of north-west France. The menu is based in Bretagne cuisine that is known for... More

My friend had made the reservation and so prior to going I looked up Bistro 29 and checked out their menu. One of their regular items was Cassoulet. I had Cassoulet for the first time in Paris 35 years ago and fell in love with the dish. Of course I ordered it. The cassoulet was quite disappointing. It was bland... More

Bistro 29 offers an eclectic and approachable menu with options to suit just about everyone. I am a vegetarian but most of my friends are not. This is a place we can all enjoy and I really appreciate that. The service is always spot on and the food is so delicious - I would eat here every day if that... More

Great authentic Brittany Cuisine. We loved the earthy goodness of the Buckwheat Crepes and the fresh food and wonderful combination of flavors. The setting is intimate and romantic. Having eaten at some of the best authentic creperies in France, this compares very highly.
