The food is excellent, although I have only tried breakfast foods. Salmon omelette is a favorite. Great coffee and service!

We had occasion to visit the Beach Grass Cafe following a stay-over in Solana Beach for our Anniversary. They had a nice selection of healthy food choices and some different offerings. I had scrambled eggs, a spicy sausage and polenta cooked in a banana leaf. The sausage and eggs were cooked well. I thought the polenta was a bit bland... More

The blue corn pancakes were outstanding, the French Toast was cooked to perfection, and the server was quick and attentive! Definitely recommend next time you're in Solana Beach!

We had high hopes for this place. Decided to have breakfast here for our friends who liked the gluten free options. Our friend, who has citrus allergies, informed our server when she ordered and was served a blueberry pancake with lemon. She informed the server, who was very apologetic, and he brought her a plain blueberry pancake. Unfortunately, the poached... More

My husband and I had lunch at the Beach Grass Café on a late Sunday morning. The portions were generous, there was a great selection, and breakfast was also available. There were several people waiting when we arrived, but we were seated within about 10 minutes. The coffee was very good, we both enjoyed our food, and the service was... More

We chose this restaurant for the menu. We will have to come back because there were too many mouthwatering choices. You can get all the usual breakfast items, but there are some really unusual scrambles, french toasts and especially pancakes. I had Lemon ricotta and blueberry pancakes and my DH had blue corn pancakes. You can get a "half" portion... More

Pancakes are just YUMMY. Best Pancakes we have eaten in California. Super fluffy, buttermilk pancakes with everything you want to enjoy. With the pancake the Capuccino was good and in a really big cup. Fruits with Granola are also very very good!!! Although located at the highway you can sit outside on the terrace with no negative noises around. Top... More
