I travel a lot for work and when looking for places for dinner I like to find a busy establishment with a bar area and TV's or communal seating, or something so I'm not just sitting at a table by myself with nothing to do but eat and leave. Sometimes it can be difficult to meet this criteria and also... More

We went to Tony's Jacal for the first time a few nights ago, and arrived 4:40, which was perfect as the doors don't open until 5 PM. Within 45 minutes there was a long line out the door with an average wait of about 1 hour. The service was actually quite fast and polite. We enjoyed our meals and while... More

Tony's is always a "must" visit when in the San Diego area. It has been there for ever and there is good reason for that. Great food and margaritas and prompt and efficient service. Highly recommend and a visit to San Diego is not complete without eating here.

Great family restaurant, decorated with lots of colour, just like you are in Mexico! Very friendly Mexican staff and a large menu with lots of choices, combo plates and a la carte choices. Love this place and would highly recommend.

Food was excellent and plentiful. Chips and salsa was appreciated by our party. Kid menu was also available and this restaurant works well for families.

70 years and still going strong. This is a great Mexican eatery that has a massive menu you can mix and match to your hearts content. The corn as an appetiser was so good!! Worth a visit even if a tad pricey for this type of cuisine.

Happy 70th Anniversary to all at Tony's Jacal!! Founded by Catalina and Tony and still run by their children (Teresa welcomes you as you arrive and sign in), this is the perfect place to take your family for a great evening of home-cooked Mexican food. For the kids, they have crayons and coloring books of course but also a back... More

We picked this local Mexican restaurant based on good reviews. The restaurant was buzzing when we arrived for dinner. We were given the choice of sitting at the bar until a table was freed up. After ordering up a couple of Mojitos, we were seated at our table quickly and turkey quesadillas. The food was fresh, hot and tasty. The... More
