We stop at the Cafe for coffee and dessert after having lunch or dinner in Sonoma Square. It can get very busy on weekends, esp when the weather is good. Outside sitting is limited to sidewalk tables, but very nice if you can get a seat. Good coffee, but my favorites is a decadent cake called "The Hive" (as in... More

We recently purchased a Beehive Cake and several pastries from Basque Boulangerie. We drove over from Napa on a Friday night, after 5pm. It only took about 20 minutes which was a pleasant surprise. The main item on our list: a Beehive Cake for my son's birthday. Growing up, we would get a similar, Beesting cake which did not have... More

Located on Sonoma Square is a small bakery called Basque Boulangerie Cafe. You can sit at one of the few inside tables or at the window counter. Orders are taken at the cashier and assuming you can find a table, your order will be brought to you. Staff was friendly and our food was quickly prepared and brought to our... More

We love this little cafe/bakery on the Square. Sandwiches, soup, salads, bakery, and coffee drinks. Stopped for lunch today. My favorite, the tuna melt is served open faced and as usual I took half home for later as it's more than I can eat at lunch. The. Hi Ken salad is delicious, but the recipe changes daily so be sure... More

We stopped in for an espresso drink and croissant... such a great find. The croissant was flaky and buttery, seriously great. Double short latte was nice and strong, just as I requested. I must not be the only fan, it's 3:00 on a Saturday and it's full. Stop by if you're in town.

This bakery makes both breads and pastries. Both are very good but the Dutch Crunch bread (round loaves or personal sized bun) is the best I've ever had. It is not to be missed. One must get there early though as this bread goes very quickly.

Basque was a very short walk from our rental and we made it a Go To place for breakfast pasteries, bread and even lunch a couple of times. Very Busy. Very Good.

Pastries, soups, salads, sandwiches to eat in or out overlooking Sonoma Plaza. Great coffee. You can order something to take with you on a hike or to sit and enjoy people watching.

Susan helped me put together some meals for some tours that i had setup for some of my groups. Whether it was a chocolate tour or zip lining, Basque Boulangerie Cafe was able to accommodate both of them. They setup a breakfast and two lunches. They made it so easy for my group and the food was excellent. It is... More

We visited here in the summer during our 3 day stay in Sonoma. By far the best place we stopped at for breakfast. We made sure we got there early - after seeing how popular it was on TA with the locals! The turnover of tables is speedy and plenty of customers stopped by for take outs. Coffees were served...
