As one of the locals we were sitting next to at the diner counter said, "This place is the real deal." If you want well made, down home, locally sourced, and in some cases house made food, then this is your kind of place. Ribs, sausage, corn bread, chicken and waffles etc. We couldn't have everything though, so we selected... More

I loved the biscuits and gravy! It was a nice place to eat we'd probably eat there again...I would avoid the hang town fry-the eggs were overcooked and the whole dish didn't work well together. I've been to NOLA a bunch so I know what that dish is supposed to taste like.

Went here for breakfast and had one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. Get the fried chicken and waffles, it is amazing. The crunchy skin was to die for. This place has great country character, so don't expect fine linens, but friendly faces, great food, and intimate charm are in abundance.

This is a very cool restaurant with fantastic food. We ate in the small dinning area which was right next to the small bar area inside. The menu was diverse and interesting.

If I could give more stars, I would. Wrapped figs in wine sauce (when they have them). Greens to die for. Catfish worth crying over. All served within or without the modest comfort of a charming old house. Bring a big appetite and make it last through from entree to dessert. You gotta go. You just gotta.

I went here with relatives I am visiting because they had a nice experience the previous time they had been. We were seated in an outdoor tented area with flies SWARMING. Everyone's backs were covered in flies, they were flying everywhere and covering the tables. On top of that, the staff didn't acknowledge it at all. No apologies, no offers... More

If you are on a diet this is not the place for you. The portions are large and hearty. You will never leave hungry. Very charming, outdoor seating and the wait can be long. It definitely is a must try. A little off the beaten path

The Fremont Diner is a truck stop in Carneros that serves some amazing rib sticking food. Only catch is your wait time. Usually wait times average 30 to 60 minutes....or longer on a weekend. Not your thing to wait? No issues with them as the wait time never let's up! It's a destination place that many will sit and wait... More

This place is amazing. Super authentic rustic/farmhouse! Coffee is served in a huge thermos which was really neat. Seemed like more of a locals place so I knew we were at a great spot. It's small so get there early, there are tables outside but not sure how many. Great food and service!

Honestly, what's not to love about Bridget, our personality plus server, the fabulously seasoned dry rub peppery rib special, biscuits and gravy, mac and cheese, cheesy grits and apple pie...all homemade and served with panache? Wish we lived closer! Kudos to the staff and to a really memorable meal!
