Being British I've eaten a lot of curry in my time. Shahs is not the best in the area. I didn't like that the sauce curry had small pieces of bone in it, seeming by the chefs choice, cuts of meat used generally seemed not to the highest standard. However I've had that many times before in places but forgiven... More

The food is always fresh, spicy and delicious. Some of our favorites are chicken tikka masala, chicken karachi, okra, daal chana, garlic naan, and chicken biryani. The service is always prompt and the restaurant is open late and usually pretty packed. You order at the counter and the waiter brings the food to your table. The decor is bare bones... More

Had a take away order from this restaurant, its moderately priced. Kebab is good , the curries are okish and rotis are good. Overall good for an one time dinner.

Quick low-budget halal meals that taste pretty darn good. I highly recommend the nihari (beef stew with melted tendons!) and the naan glazed with butter. Pure indulgence. Open till late at night (3am) on Fridays and Saturdays.

Tandoori chicken is to die for ! If you miss the roadside tandoori chicken from India ,this is the place to be in the bay area . Go for the breast piece ,leg piece has got quite less(half) flesh compared to the breast piece. The main course was a downer though.

We had dinner at Shah restaurant, non vegetarian combo package and garlic naan with dhal curry are ordered. The combo package is really worth the money paid, all the spices are absorbed well into the chicken as well as garlic naan also very tasty, a bit different with garlic naan that we used to have in any other restaurants.

Its a good place for authentic tandoor dishes and Biriyani. Really loved the food. Not fine dinning place, but kept neat and clean. Stays open pretty late on weekends.
